Anyone ever get a discount in April for Poly?

We are thinking of returning to WDW in April 2003 . . .dates of travel would be 4/12 - 4/19 . . .we are Disney Club members, but in April 99 and April 00 all DC discounts were blocked for the entire month.

Has anyone gotten a discount during the month of April using an AP or AAA or Amex?

Last year, DH and I stayed at the Poly the last weekend in April and used an AP discount for our room. Who knows what they'll be offering for 2003 - this has been a very strange year for resort discounts!

I've been patiently waiting a year (o.k., not so patiently) for any discount/code, and so far no such luck for the week of April l2-l9 (school vacation) for any deluxe.

We originally booked at the Poly, but cancelled and switched to the Dolphin, got a great rate (It has been the ONLY deluxe to offer a discount so far), and now I am really getting excited about it.

Good luck; I hope you are able to get a good code by next year for your trip.

Two things to try...when Disney gets their website up again go online and see if they are offering any online discounts to book through their website at www.DisneyWorld.com and if your a DC member even if the room isn't availble for a discount book your package anyway and you'll still save 10% on the tickets!

I was able to get a good rate at the Poly for April 16-21. I called for the Coronado and they were booked (for 5 people) I asked if there were any upgrades available and they gave me the Poly for $249 a night. I also can get the Dolphin for $129 a night. Is the Poly worth the extra $$... This is our first time.

Tifferbell, I've never stayed at Dolphin. As far as Poly . . .I love the Poly . . .its a great place . . .its inviting and tropical and $249/night for April is a good deal . . .do you know if you were given a garden view or lagoon view for that price? In April 00, we went Easter Week, it is also Peak and we paid well over $400/night for lagoon view . . .you'll love the Poly . . .you should check out Tikiman's website . . .he did a really great job . . .
