Hi everyone,

We landed this morning a few minutes late due to a slight problem at Orlando to do with a baggage check, never did quite figure out what it was. Drove home from Gatwick this afternoon and we're now just about starting to come around, still feel like we're not in the land of the living though! Had a really great time but we are NEVER doing this again as it has just knackered us beyond anything we could conceive.

Basic overview below, will expand at a later date.

Flew out to Vegas and were picked up by stretch Hummer and driven to Stratosphere. On my birthday we had dinner at the Rio then visited the nightclub on the roof, we also did the Star Trek Experience and had a Klingon sit with us during lunch and tell jokes while we were filmed for something or other. Generally toured the Vegas casinos for a few days before driving across the Mojave desert to Anaheim. Had a crazy day doing the parks there and a few hours the next day before touring the pacific coast highway for the afternoon. Saw the Queen Mary, walked on the beach and drove to Hollywood where we saw the Hollywood sign & drove along the Hollywood & Sunset Boulevards. Caught out flight from LA to Orlando and had an amazing eight days staying onsite for the first time at the Beach Club Villas, eating at many great restaurants (highlights were Coral Reef & Le Cellier) and doing the rides. Finally capped it off yesterday by watching the shuttle launch from Futureworld before heading to the airport for our flight home.

So you see how madcap the last weeks have been? Unfortunately my trainers ended up severly damaging my feet before we even got to California so I've spent the last week and a half feeling like ever step was on hot needles :scared1: I ended up buying CROCS and they saved my feet from further damage so I'm totally 100% converted!

Pics and more coming soon guys!

Welcome home Sophie, it sounds like you've had a great though tiring trip. I'm a bit worried that you may have suffered from heat exhaustion, as you went out and bought some Crocs :confused3 Oh dear, it looks like I've lost another one to the Croc invasion :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I look forward to hearing all about it and seeing your piccies :thumbsup2

Welcome home, Sophie. The trip sounds fantastic, looking forward to hearing more about it. I would be particularly interested to hear about driving from Vegas to Anaheim because it is something we are thinking about.
