Anyone have any recommendations??

I finally gave up and booked our flight to San Juan for March - couldn't stand the games anymore - managed to get Northwest non stop flight for $360 pp - more then I wanted to pay but we're booked now!!

Now I need to find a hotel near the airport.

That is the one thing I still need to do-I'm leaning towards La Qunita. I've stayed in them before and they are fairly nice for the price

We just recently did this for the first time and stayed at America's Best Value Inn & Suites. Booked thru parksleepfly.com and got the room for $79 U.S. It gives you 7 days of free parking. Considering that the rate is around $40/wk to park at the airport, this wasn't bad. The hotel came up as only a one-star, but it was just fine. Hopefully this is what you were looking for.

We're booked at the Ramada for $89 which includes 7 days of parking and a cont. breakfast that we was really good. We stayed there in July. I've stayed at the Clarion, it was ok, but I haven't been back. The Doubletree used to be great but it changed ownership and is now the Metropolitan. The hotel is beautiful but the service was terrible. My SIL stayed at the HOJO and said "Never again".

Please provide the lot where you can park for $40 at Detroit Airport. Is it at one of the Terminals or off site? Just returned from DTW a few weeks ago parking was $10 a day at the Smith Terminal, but no shuttles and a 90 second walk to the terminal. Well worth the money

As for a place to stay and park I've heard good things about the Baymont Inn at DTW.
