been viewing your photos on your pc and felt your heart drop because of all the dust spots........ only to realize thankfully those dust spots are merely the signs of a dirty monitor? :scared:

:rotfl: Yep, I have done that. DD once spilled a Coke up here in the computer room and a tiny spot got on the monitor. That, I certainly thought was a dust spot. Although I have also cleaned my monitor to find that they really are dust spots too! :scared1:
I hate dust.

:lmao: Just seems to be such a waste of time - especially when there are so many other things one could be doing - like taking pictures - processing pictures - thinking about what to shoot next. You know - important things!

yeah and a picture lasts forever, a clean house lasts about 5 mins... so now which is the most efficient use of time

You are soooo right! I think I am gonna put this vaccuum away now. :lmao:
j/k wish I could get away with that - but with two large hairy dogs I have to stay on top of it. :scared:
And Andrew - what are ya gonna say when your wife says - "you're right - hands you the broom and takes off with your camera?" :rotfl2:

Yes, I like that too.
As for Andrews wife handing him the broom and taking off with his camera.
I would want to be there to take a picture of the look on his face. Now that would be a photo. :rotfl2:

Now, now. she wouldn't do that... Would she? ::yes::
Thankfully, she isn't into photography. We'd be broke. As it is, this has been the single most expensive year of my life. Between the camera and expensive lenses, the house roof, 16 tree removals, and a new Camry? Holy Cow! Barb, I may not be fishing next year. I'll be at work. :sad1:
Almost forgot about our WDW trip in November. Add that to my list of debt. And we're going to FLA again in Feb. Add that too. Oh well, I have the rest of my life to pay for it. Maybe I'll hit the lottery...

Andy,
You know I will be working. Mike had to get a new truck. Plus with the water thing. I don't even want to see that bill for hooking up to town water and the betterment. Plus we are in the process of replacing 5 windows, the door on the front of the house and vinyl siding it.
Your going to disney in Feb also? Now I'm depressed. Happy for you guys, but depressed.
We still have pictures to take, process and post though. :)

Yep, the bills don't stop do they? Too bad, too. I had so many plans for that money. I was gonna give alot of it to Canon.
No,no. Not Disney in February. Probably just to my parents and to the Everglades area for nature walks, photos, lunch, photos, dinner, photos. You get the point here? I want to take GOOD photos of the Everglades this year. 2 years ago, I got ok ones, but now I'm gonna go for good ones. Then next year, better ones, then after that, excellent ones. Don't want to get too good too soon ya know?

Andy,
Oh, you had me going there for a minute. I had Serious Disney Envy. I think it is going to be a year or two before we get to go there again.
YOu will just have to work with your camera and lenses. Canon will just have to wait for now.

I agree. I actually have alot of work to do before I need to consider new lenses for this thing! I thought I knew alot and was doing pretty well with it until the New York Institute of Photgraphy entered my life. Now I feel like I don't know anything! :lmao: Oh well, I'll learn it all eventually. I feel like it is sinking into my thick skull a bit. It just takes a little longer than others. The good thing is that I have a very understanding family. I mean they are no longer questioning me when I want the napkin holder to come out with a shallow DOF or something like that. They do look at me funny though. Wonder what they are thinking? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Andy,
We understand how we look at things. It makes sense to us. Like the night at the field when you were watching one group of clouds while I was watching another group of clouds. DH of mine would just look at me if I said I was looking at the clouds. He just doesn't see what I see. He caught me out on the bog practically standing on my head to take a picture of a leaf. He just shook his head and laughed.

Yep, DW pays absolutely no attention to me anymore when I am in "photo mode". That is good. I need to focus on what I am doing. *pun intended*. DD knows this as well. She will still try to talk to me when I'm on the phone  but usually not when I have the camera up to my eye.
