I was just watching on CNN that a total of 500,000 people have been evacuated and the winds are still too bad to get any planes in the air. Only 2 people have died from this but i still think that is too much.

Canada is sending a couple of water bombers and i think the US military are sending some help too..

words can not express how i feel for all those people down there. I hope everyone will join me in wishing everyone down there all the best and hope they will get some rain soon to help control the spreed of the fire

Just posting an update, they have now evacuated 1 million people.

They are expecting a break in the winds sometime tomorrow afternoon and BC is sending the largest water bomber in the world to help fight the fire.

I am wondering how close these fires are to Disneyland...

Best wishes for all who have been living and working through this horrible event.
My parents are there right now for vacation - hopefully they haven't travelled as south as the fires. I'll post if I hear anything from them over the next few days - they are due to fly home from San Diego on Monday but somehow I don't think that will be happening.
