TBS trip report DAY #1

The day had finally arrived!!! My wife called me from work at 6:30am and said she was leaving an hour early.(She works the graveyard shift as a nurse in maternity). No babies had decided to come and things were slow, so she said she was on the way home. Got ready, got my 4 year old son up and dressed and waited on mommy. She was a little late because she had to take care of a patient who decided she needed to go to the bathroom at the last minute, Oh well. We finally got out the door about 8:15am. Said our prayers, we always pray for a safe trip it is a must!!! On the road, on the road, on the road. We bought our son a tv & vcr combination for the car. It was a great investment. He watched movies and mom slept and I drove and drove and drove. Well, we reached Savanah Ga. about 7pm and found a motel. We stayed at the Microtel Inn in Poolesville Ga. it was nice and cost about $44.00 total. Off to find something to eat. I was starved. I had not eaten all day, I guess I was to excited. Found a Crackle Barrell Rest. It was good. Back to the hotel for a good nights rest. :D :D
