Just out of curiosity.....:rolleyes1 Many of us now have a LARGE number of beautiful recipes through the various swaps. But how much do you use them? Personally, I mostly just look at them and gloat, as I can't always get the ingredients without making them from scratch:headache: but I love to have them:hug:

I've used mine a few times. But I also just LOVE to see the great work! I just finished putting some in the book from the last swap, everyone is just so creative!
But here was the thing...I was sorry that I didn't have the names of the artists on the backs of all the cards. It never entered my mind as I was getting them back, and things got mixed up. That is something I'm going to change with my future ones!
Maybe we should start signing our cards and dating... :confused3

Mostly just gloat, but I have tried a couple so far.

Now, you all know I don't cook, very often. So I am holder and sigher. They really are so pretty to look at. And I don't have to do a thing to them. They are complete.

I didn't have the names on the first couple so now I write them on as I get them:thumbsup2 I never write my own name on the back in case people don't want it there for any reason ;) but I make sure you can identify them if you want. For the holiday recipe swap I was getting tight on space so I stuck the label to the back and didn't wrap individually (it makes a LOT of difference to the postage for big groups!) but its only a little tape runner so easy to remove

I don't cook either, but I love my little album that's chock full of pretty, pretty cards.

I've tried a few recipes from swaps but then there's a lot of looking, too. What I've started doing is scrapping my own personal recipes for me and about 7 others and then they will get them for a Christmas present:santa: . But I only do the tried-and-true never-fail recipes or the old family recipes handed down so they will all be useful. It's kinda my new hobby :)

I made recipe books for each of my two boys ready for when they leave home - like you, all family recipes, plus those important basics (like roast potatoes!) that don't always make it into the fancy books. Its really hard finding cook-related stash though:headache: The books are full now - and I still keep discovering new recipes I could have/should have used:headache:

I mainly take them and show them off to friends. I am always so impressed by everyone's work. One day I will try and make a whole meal from the recipes.:)

Do you ever start a thread here with favorite swap recipes you have received posted so everyone can enjoy them???
