Dig site at CSR sometimes closed?

I just read the thread about the Grotto pool at the Swan/Dolphin, and read somewhere the sometimes the dig site closes at Coronado Springs for private parties. Anyone know how often this happens. One of the main reasons we're staying there is for the Dig site. We're only going for three days, and pretty much have our schedule arranged, so I know exactly what day and time we want to use the pool. do they know a couple weeks ahead of time when it will be closed? I know there are quiet pools, but if timing is such that the dig site will be closed on the day we want to swim, I may as well save $20/night and stay at ASMU. So, how often has it been closed when you were there?

We've stayed there 5 times, usually for 9 or 10 days and have never seen the dig site closed.

I just returned from a 6 night stay and it was never closed the whole time we were there!

We've stayed x 2 for 9 days each and never saw the dig site closed. I know conventions were there because we saw them once or twice in front of the hotel.

Stayed there twice and pool hopped a third and never experienced the pool being closed. I even called the front desk and they told me they do not closed the pool for conventions.

The slide closes when the lifeguards go off-duty, but I don't think that's what you are asking about.

If you are really concerned, call the hotel manager directly with your dates and get his/her assurance.
