My DH and I are going on a 4-day Wonder in May and would like to visit Atlantis on our own. I don't want to take the Disney excursion as I've been on those water taxis and don't want to do that ever again. We aren't interested in the pools and water slides so don't want to shell out the dollars of getting a room at either Atlantis or Comfort Suites.
So the plan is to take a land taxi over to Atlantis. I plan on hitting the casino for a while, but DH would really like to walk through the digs. Can you sign up there and pay just to do this.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Yes, you can pay in the casino...I think it was $25 for the guided tour and they give you a wrist band so you have access to all the grounds for the day. I thought it was worth it. I did it on my own this past summer. The aquariums and the dig were awesome! Spent a little cash in the casino too. Of course they will let you in there for FREE!

Thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping for.
Will they allow children (14 year old) in the casino?
Thanks

Children are allowed to walk through the casino, but they are not allowed to stop or watch any of the games.

If you go to the Atlantis website at http://www.atlantis.com you can find details on everything there if you haven't already. The site uses a lot of "Flash" but for faster loading you can click one of the links at the bottom.
WDWLVR: I think we are on the same cruise, May 12?

Does the $25 wristband allow you access to the beach also?
Thanks!

I don't think that includes the beach. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

taswira,
Yes, we are on the same cruise - the 12th. I'm really looking forward to it. We've done a 3-day on the Magic as well as the 7-day. This is our first time on the Wonder.

I'm pretty positive that the tour doesn't allow beach access. It definitely doesn't give you pool privledges, so I assume the same goes for the beach.

Hi all! My Mom, myself and my two kids are also on May 12th Wonder! Can't wait, kids are counting down the days on a chart.
I think we are going to do the same thing, grab a taxi to Atlantis and see what we can find to do. On another post, they said that there is a public beach adjacent to the Atlantis beach, so I am sure with a little checking around you can find a spot to relax in the sun at no charge. My kid are only 6 and 8, so no casino for us :((. Have a blast! Sue
