:surfweb: Good mornining :surfweb:

I am sad to report that we returned home from the Magic on Saturday. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

The time went much too fast and a "Magical time was had by all". It was a fantastic week. :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

If anyone has any questions just ask, I'll be happy to answer any that I can.

Well, back to laundry :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: and putting thing away where they belong :scared: :scared: :scared:

It does go too fast and you get PCD (Post cruise depression) the only cure known is to book another cruise.

If you have any hints about 2009 rumours or from the DCL sales rep please post it,

also on the 09 Thread.

We've cruised in January and April so fall will be something new! Did you arrive on Friday or wait until Sat.? Did you rebook? Any details you care to share, I'm all ears!

Sorry it took so long to get back. We had the post vacation things to get done yesterday and then work got in the way this morning.

1) On our first day at sea it was gray and rain on and off all day. The next four days were perfect, plenty of sun, and it was very warm and humid. On CC, when we were finally able get off the ship we went straight for the snorkel area, got our equipment and went out. We got about half way through when we noticed a very dark cloud heading our way. My DW and I decided we should all head in and didn't get very far when the life guards were calling everyone in.

The wind started picking up and made it a little diffacult to swim in but we made it to shore and had about a 15 minute rain shower. It was coming down pretty good. It finally passed through and we never got rain again but seen many rain showers passing by in the distance.

2) We arrived on Friday and took the "Magical Express" to the CBR. We spent what was left of the day at Epcot/World Showcase. We paid for DCL transfers, so the next day we went to the designated area for pick up and were brought to the port. We had to be at the pick up area no later than noon and we left about 12:30 for the port. I wouldn't feel comfortable booking our flight the day of. Too many things can go wrong to delay your flight.

3) As much as I would have liked to have rebooked, we did not. We save until we can afford to go and it took us from our last trip in 2004 to save up for this trip in 2007.

4) We had a great time. Our servers, Svet from Bulgaria and Hilash from India were great and I would ask for them again in a heart beat. They were great with the boys, very entertaining. We bumped up the recommended tip for the both of them. Our Stateroom Host was Phillip and I hate to say it but I can't remember where he is from. But he was also great and we bumped up his tip as well.

There are some trips where it is good to be home, This is NOT ONE OF THEM. I would have loved to stayed over for the western. There was a couple that did the western first and stayed on board to complete their vacation with the eastern, I wish I could do that.

I would recommend the galley tour if time permits, my DW and I thought it was very interesting. You do have to go to Guest Services to sign up and they did not advertise it in the Navigator, our servers told us to go sign up and when we did they said it was filling up fast. We also did the Walt Disney Theater tour and I would highly recommend that as well. It does show up in the Navigator and it is open to all. They have the first half hour with a Q and A period with some cast members, then they talk about all that goes into putting the play together, sound, costumes, etc. And at the end you can go back stage and see thing up close with different cast members available to answer any question.

We did the 12 Meter Regatta on St. Martin and the Dabloon Sail and Snorkel on St. Thomas and we all had a blast. It was my DW, DS 15 (yrs), DS's friend (15 yrs) and me.

If any one has any other questions feel free to ask. Hopefully I'll get back a little sooner.

Sounds like you had a great cruise! And it sounds like the weather might be a little warmer/stickier than we had in January and April (1st week).

We did the galley tour in March and thought it was great. I'll be sure to put the theater tour on the to-do list.

We are considering the Doubloon - how was the snorkeling? We did the Five Star in janury 2004 and the snorkeling was pretty bad so my kids are hesitant to go on another snorkeling trip. I've heard the Doubloon is fun (our group of teens will be 16 and 14).

I'm sure we'll go down the day before to avoid any problems. I bet it's really hard to be home.:sad2:

I was wondering if the Internet Cafe' is still onboard the Magic, I've been reading mixed messages about it. We'll be sailing in January & it's a good way to keep up on the weather conditions we'll be flying home in back to CT.

While it is called the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel, while the sails were up the motor was alway running. Which is ok I guess. It get you there quicker.

But we all really enjoyed the snorkeling. You could go off on your own right away or they had a tour, where you follow a couple of the crew members. We first went out to where the Green Sea turtles are found and seen a few. That was very cool. On our way to the coral we saw a spotted sting ray.

As far as the coral is concerned they are not much to look at but there are many fish. There were many times when they were swimming all around you. After you got into the coral area you had about 20 minutes to swim on your own before getting back on the boat and heading back to port. The "Passporter's" ratings is 9 out of ten. I would give it an 8. The crew was very fun and the "Happy drink" was very good. The kids got soft drinks or water.

I'm not sure I'm smart enough to figure out how to post these. When we have a little more free time maybe my DW can figure out how to do this. She is the computer expert in the family.

Right next to the Pomenade Lounge there were plenty of computer monitors with people sitting at them. We never went to invetigate, but I'm assuming that is it. And I do believe I read they have wireless service, I saw many people working on their laptops.
