January 2008 Waitlist Thread

I thought I would start a Jan. 2008 waitlist. Who is waiting for what and at what resort?


I am currently on the waitlist @ Bwv for a 1 br (anyview) from 1/24 to 2/1.
(I have ressies for a 1bdrm from 1/24 to 2/1 andat SSR, that will be cancelled if I get what I am waitlisted for.)

I have one night wait listed for a studio (any view) Sunday Jan. 13 at BWV. That is marathon day and we invited some friends to come "late" in the game (July). (I booked my boardwalk view studio at 11 months :woohoo: ) I was able to get the 15th through the 19th no problem. I waitlisted both Sunday and Monday - and got Monday in about a week - but not Sunday night. I have been on the wait list since July.

I have booked them a room at the Dolphin as a back up for that night...

We are on a waitlist for a 1 or 2 bedroom at BCV, BWV, or VWL for Jan 19-22We have ressies for the 22nd-29th at BWV. We currently have a 1 bedroom at SSR for the 19th-22nd.

We are waitlisted for Conceirge for 1/17-22 at AKV. We have a studio and a 2BR Savanah view now. I doubt we will get it but it is worth it to try.

While we have a 2BR booked at SSR for 1/6-1/13, I dragged my feet and didn't book the studio at SSR that my girlfriend's family wanted for the same time until last week. Can anyone guess at my chances of getting what I want?

Are all of you actually on a wait list, or are you just watching and calling? We have a room at ASM for Jan 26-Feb 3 but are trying to get a room at ASM Suites.

This waitlist would be for DVC. I think ASM = All Star Music. I am not sure you can waitlist for Non-DVC resorts. Good Luck!

I already have BW, preferred view, one bedroom from Jan 14-18, but am waitlisted for AKL for the same time frame. MS told me this morning that I could book AKL but it would have to be a different villa each night!!! She didn't think I wanted to do that....so, I'm waitlisted. If it comes through, terrific. But, it it doesn't, I'll be happy at BWV. My dd, 31 and going for her first trip ever to WDW, saw the villas at AKL and wanted to know why I didn't buy there instead of BW!!! Ah, they weren't an option dopey head!! She loves giraffes, so figured I might be able to surprise her.

We have 1/13 - 1/20 reserved in a preferred view studio at BWV - waitlisted for BW view for those same days. Unlikely with the marathon, but its worth a try.

I called MS to check on something else - and casually asked about my waitlist for a studio for the night of Jan. 13th - and was told it came through today! Woo hoo!:woohoo:

But... it was for a standard view studio (I was on all 3 studio waitlists - preferred, BW view and standard view) - and my other nights are preferred view. Oh well... moving in the building is easier than schlepping luggage from the Dolphin!

So - now I am on the waitlist for a preferred view studio for that night, but will be perfectly content with a standard view for one night and then preferred view for 5 nights.

we had a waitlist for a studio at AKV for 1/18. We werebooked at VWL. Just got a call today that it came through....first he told me we got Standard view and then he said, "well wait, looks like we have a Savannah view as well!"

Still waiting for our other dates...we're at SSR 1/9 - 14 and I've requested any other resort. Right now I'm just happy to get a chance to experience AKV!

Waitlisted for AKV, VWL or BCV for Jan. 24-30th, have 2BR at SSR those times and waiting for a 2BR at above. I'm taking BGF and Son. It is thier first time so I'm hoping for AKV. SSR will be fine but, I want to stay somewhere I haven't yet.

We are waitlisted for 2-Br at OKW, 1/13. We have already reserved the 2-BR for the rest of the week. Just in case, we have ASMu family suite reserved for 1/13...but really hope we won't use it. :sad1:

DH says I need to chill because we may not get off the waitlist until we hit the 30-day window. :eek: I'm not good at waiting. :guilty:

We have a 2 bedroom at OKW but Grandma would like to have her own room and not have to sleep with one of the grandchildren or on the pull out bed.;)

That is entirely cool! We LOVE the boardwalk view! Now, maybe since you opened up a preferred view, I can get the one night in a preferred that we need! :)

I checked and we got our preferred view for that night. Yeah! :) Now my DH, DD7 and I have our Boardwalk view for 8 nights (booked that at 11 months!) and we added a studio (preferred view) in July for some friends for 6 nights. We had to wait list a couple nights for that ressie, but they came through. Yippee! No changing rooms for anyone! :cool1:

Gee... maybe now I should try to waitlist BW view for our friends! :laughing:
