I am looking into purchasing a bag to use in the parks, and this bag is reasonable priced. I was wondering if anyone uses this, especially in the parks and it it is convenient to use. What do you like or not like about the bag? I was also wondering if it was waterproof? Thanks

Have had one for many months.......love love love it. Taking it to DL next month. It works much better than the travelmate IMO! It is very weatherproof. I have no idea if it is waterproof. I would say so it has a heavy lining. I have run it through the wash many times and it comes out looking brand new! Worth every penny!

I don't live near a MEC, but I've been looking at them online. They seem similar to the Baggallini ones, but cheaper. I'm trying to decide between the black and the turquoise/black. What colour do you have?

We LOVE ours...I think it is waterproof....we take ours mountain biking all the time, through rain or shine, and we have never had any problems with anything inside (ie: our camera) getting damaged. It is was better than any other type of sling bag that I bought and it actually holds quite a bit and isn't awkward to carry either. And you just can't beat the price....but then again, we are MEC junkies :rolleyes1 We Love that place!

Used it for 2 weeks at DW in September, love it! Very comfortable and not too big, although I could fit a lot into it. I used the cell phone pouch in the front for my Key to the World, FastPass, money, and ID. Easy access, and protected from pickpocket. Only weak point: the zipped inner pocket should be harder to reach for better security.

I bought all black so it does not show the dirt

I have another version of the MEC bag - more like a purse - which we have used for all WDW trips and I LOVE it! MEC rules - definately go for it:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone, you can't go wrong with the price and I've heard so many great things about their stuff. I don't live near one, do they offer free shipping by any chance? I know my mom has a membership(or something like that) from there.

Try this link from MEC:

Hope that helps!
I have used my MEC pod sling bag at DL/CA many many times. I have brought it with me on many wet rides and the contents have always come out dry. I love it, especially the bottle holder. I have also managed to squeeze into my bag my fleecy jacket. It is perfect for travel.
My 12-year-old DD has "discovered" my sling bag these days and have requested to borrow it on several occasions.
The bag also does very well in the wash. I have washed it many times in the washer (but I always hang dry it) and it still looks good.
