What to set printer on

I just printed my shirt transfers, but I could not pick Shirt transfer paper since it flipped my design. I choose matte photo paper, but some of the designs printed better than others. Should I have picked a different kind of paper?

Sorry I can't help you with this, but I hope that someone will answer so that if it happens to me, I will not fret and hopefully I will avoid the problem..good luck
