How do you get of the ship?

OK i know how to get on and off the ship when at the port but what about when your at nassaw (sp?) do you just walk down a plank thing or what not sure sorry its stupid i know

Yes, it is a "plank thing" (kind of like the embarkation scene in Titanic).

At Port Canaveral, you walk across a bridge that's similar to a passenger loading bridge you see at large airports. You'll access the ship at the Deck 3 level. At ports of call, you'll walk down a ramp from a doorway on Deck 1. Not very steep, and not that much over the water. All boarding ramps have handrails and safety rails.

I think that "walking the plank" has a slightly different meaning (certainly Wendy in Peter Pan would think so) - I believe that technically, it's refered to as a "gangway."

You disembark the ship at the same door as where the gangway is located during ports of call at docks. Not sure what kind of ramp is used to board the tenders.

when you're in nassau you walk from deck one down the gangway to the delapitated dock facility, resplendant with it's crumbling concrete facade and lovely cigarette butt gardens. Be sure to take your kids picture on the discarded truck tire you have to walk around. You then walk over to slovenly downtown nassau with it's filthy shops and eclectic assortment of 1980's assortment suzuki's and a gang of licensed hair-braiders that make the Jehovah's witnesses look like wallflowers. Be sure to get there early so you can see the two drunks fighting over a bottle of whisky in the street at 10 am, it's not to be missed!
