View Full Version : Good WL/VWL photos?
I think I'm going to redecorate and theme my bathroom after the Wilderness Lodge (Kohls has a great collection called Outdoorsman that reminds me of the Lodge).
Anyway, I would love some great exterior photos of the Lodge itself, and maybe some of the villas to frame. I've gone through my own pictures but I really don't have what I'm looking for. Any have any willing to share here or at least point me in the right direction?
(Deb Wills has some beautiful ones on her site, but I notice they are copyrighted, so I don't know if I can use them).
Thanks so much!

You might want to post this on the Groupies' thread. There are already a lot of great photos there that I'm sure the folks will be happy to e-mail you with higher resolution files.
Photos like this abound there...

Hey Granny it is going to take long time and quite a bit of money to get the cammode to look like that!;)
Just kidding, great pics!

Diane...you've always said that WL/VWL doesn't appeal to you as a vacation destination because it isn't like getting away from your other home. Between the picture of your log home in your signature and these photos, I see exactly what you mean...great looking rooms! :thumbsup2
Maria...your pictures are always so great. You must have a good camera to go with that good photographer's eye of yours. That elevated view of VWL and the quiet pool from your WL room is a real postcard! ::yes::

Actually, the building of my log home was documented on the CB a few years back. I have had lots of requests for updates of how it turned out, so every once in awhile I post a couple of pics.
Granny, it's true that while I LOVE the theme of VWL and we do visit the lodge every trip (usually to just enjoy the lobby and take in dinner at Artist Point), I like different things for vacation. I'm getting dagerously close with my purchase of AKV though!
Here are a couple more

Bobbi, we live on 10.5 acres and are doing a prairie/savanna restoration. Our house is surrounded by restored prairie with oak savannas and a little wet land. We have a LOT of wildlife around here, and the nearest grocery is about 3 miles away, so not bad!;)

Will they be bringing bison to the prairie restoration?

LOL, well it's not "their" prairie restoration, it's mine! We are doing the prairie restoration instead of a yard. It's great! No mowing...no worry about drought...and we have blooming flowers all over our yard from May to November! I'd love to have more wildlife, but right now it's mostly deer and small critters. We also have a kennel full of show dogs.
