Not sure if this has been posted, but there is a new pin code for 1/1-1/17 and 1/21-2/13. It is the free park hopper and water parks and more upgrade. I got the pin in a Disney Destinations email. It also says to check for great rates for 2/14 - 3/15. So check your emails!!!!

Can anyone say what the subject line of the email says, so I can do a search in my 6000 bulk emails sitting in my yahoo bulk folder! Thanks.

Does anyone know how these codes are going to work with the new per-night pricing? We're staying 1/16 to 1/26... Would I be able to apply the promotional rate to my package, even though the holiday weekend is blacked-out?

I didn't get an email, but I'll call tomorrow to be sure I don't have a code.
I currently have a room only ressie for FW cabins 1/26 - 2/2.
To use the pin (which is for adding hopping and water parks, right), would I need to change to a package?
I have a AAA discount on my ressie. So to keep my AAA discount AND use the pin, would I then have to go through a AAA TA?
:confused3

camousekateer- no, there is a room only code to. My parents got the room only version b/c their reservation is linked to mine. They saved as much as I did on my package! Good luck!!!

Can you use two codes?
One for upgrading tickets and one for the room only ressie?

Not 100% on this- but I'm pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. You just use which ever one is the better deal. The cm on the phone with me told me that if a better code came out that I could use, to just call and they would take the old code off and replace it with the new one. 99.999% sure you can only use one code at a time...
BTW- my parents saved $353 on 7 nights at POFQ Jan 26- Feb 2. I'm pretty sure that'd be better than the free upgrade to park hoppers. I'd call and find out if anything is attached to my name and go from there. When I called, I was not offered the park hopper upgrade.

That makes sense.
Any idea if I would need to change to a package if I could only use the ticket upgrade code?

I would think yes- you'd have to change to a package since room only doesn't include tickets.
BTW- if you get a cm who doesn't seem to be very helpful or understand your questions- thank them for their time, hang up, and call back. I had a wonderful cm this morning who was very patient and helpful- very understanding and tried to look at every avenue to help me save the most money. The first one I got this morning was not helpful nor knowledgable.
Good luck to you!!!

I got one!! Too bad I'm a teacher and can't take time off of school for a vacation (though I wish I could since it seems like all my students take vacations during the school year). I'd love to go back. If only it was for better time of the year for me
(this is my second pin code of the year. the first one came via a postcard and took advantage of it since it was good during a planned disney vacation. I'm not sure how I got on Disney's good side but I hope this continues. I'm looking to head to Disney probably during Aug 2009 for a honeymoon and would love to say as much money as possible then)

We got one postcard in 2001 and that is it. September 11 th ( :sad1: ) was to fresh in our mind to go then. My friend went to WDW in June, stopping at Georgia before heading home, and by the time they returned home they had a postcard with a special deal waiting for them! Do you think it is totally random? I sure wish we would get an offer :goodvibes I have "code envy"!

Is it just random who gets the codes? We're going Jan. 7-12 and I called and no code with our name. Any chance we'll still get one? Should I keep calling?

Just called and asked if there were any better rates (other than my AAA) and the rep asked if I had received a card or email. Told him I've never been lucky enough. He said to wait -- good chance I would get one soon and there was nothing else he could do at this time. Hummmm.
Not sure if a code would make a difference in our plans though. I asked about AAA rate for 2 rooms, 7 nights at AKL or WL -- it would be almost 3x as much to stay there vs. 2 rooms at Pop Century. Love the WL and would love to try the AKL but $2000 extra would buy lots of food and souvies for the week.
We'll see.

Does anyone know if this can be used past the time in the email? I got one a couple of days ago too, and didn't think I could use it, but then I read another thread where someone said they used their PIN to book a room for next September. Is this the same PIN or are there 2 of them out now? We're going in June and I'd love to use this PIN.

Has anyone ever had a code attached to their reservation as a first-time resort guest? Or are these only given out to return guests?
Also, if there is a pin-code mailing going out, how likely is it that there will also be a code for the general public?

I called and was happy to find out there was a pincode attached to my name (to this day I have yet to actually receive the "infamous" email/postcard!). For my Feb. 15-18 stay @ POP the code was about $120 less than rack rate. It appears the discount is only off the room portion as pricing this in a package the savings was the same. I was also able to make ADRs for Le Cellier & Teppan Edo...which was shocking to me as this is over President's Day weekend as well as the 50th anniversary of the Daytona 500. Another thing that surprised me was that each of my nights was the same price. With the new pricing structure, I would have thought Sunday night would be a bit lower (or the Friday & Saturday nights a bit higher). :confused3

For those of you not getting codes, I have no idea if this makes a difference or not, but I had signed up on Disney's website, and my profile says when I was planning my next vacation. I said Jan 2008, and since the beginning of the year, they have been sending me pins (3 total), saying things like "Taylor family, you could come to Disney sooner than you think!" and stuff like that. Maybe if you put in your profile that you are planning a trip in say, Dec. 2008 you might get some codes enticing you to come and spend your money sooner. I was wondering if they wouldn't send me a code for the actual times I said I wanted to come because I had turned down their other offers (acutally, I called each time to price it out, but it was never really workable for us). But here it is, a Jan/Feb pin code, so maybe it is worth a try. Again, I have no real idea, perhaps it is always random, but it doesn't hurt to try!

I just called, felt a little silly saying is there a pin by my name. but I had the nicest lady- she said some how some way Disney had me down as not wanting postal mail or email. She changed it and I'm hoping for a code now..... So glad I called:woohoo:

It does happen. We received a PIN in my mother's name for August, but it wasn't good for where we wanted to stay. A general public code came out a couple weeks later that was good for the same dates at the resort we wanted, so we were able to get the Beach Club for $240/night. The PIN was a slightly better deal for the resorts where it was available, but the public code was good too and more widely available.

I called yesterday and told the lady I wanted to check to see if a pin was by my name. I told her my husband was the spam police and I was afraid I was sent and email and didn't get it. She said no that I was in the computer as no mail and no email. So glad I called she fixed it! So I strongly recommend you call.

Hoping those that actually received the email/postcard could give me one detail. When do you have to book this by? I got the pin attached to my name. However we weren't planning to go until April but I just may try to do a January trip. I just need to know when the last date to book is as I am not sure how much bonus money we have coming in this year yet.

Huh? I thought the code gives you free hoppers (which I would have purchased) and the water parks and more add-on (which I would not have purchased, but will use for Disney Quest if we have it free)?
I currently have the All-Star Movies resort (preferred room) booked at the AAA rate of about $75 a night. Even if I have to pay rack rate to get those add-ons it seems worth it.
Unless I'm wrong about the code, which is certainly a possibility SINCE I DIDN'T GET ONE!

Yeah, did I mention I teach high schoolers? Freshmen through Seniors....in Maine. That would be quite the drive. Disney would have to pay me to bring my students on that kind of a field trip. A smaller group of selected students might be okay but I wouldn't trust my current group of kiddos ANYWHERE.
So for now, I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a pin code in 2009

It was sent out to selected guests via email or postcard and is pin-specific for the person using it. Just call CRO and ask them to check and see if there is a code attached to your name. Like I posted earlier, I had one and to date have never received any emails from Disney. I think it must have something to do with the SPAM filters that Comcast uses because others have complained of the same problem.

No PIN via email and not seeing a public US code. My guess is that the US code will follow shortly and not be any different than the Canadian one. Is that a good guess???? :confused3
Free upgrade to Park Hoppers is nice for us but the water parks in January -- not sure I care too much about that. I have a AAA rate for 2 rooms at Pop for 7 nights -- am I right in thinking that I would have to pay rack rate to get the "free" ticket upgrade? For the 6 of us the Hoppers alone add on about $270 but not sure I'm willing to pay extra for the water parks. I'm also thinking the rack rate will eat away a good bit of my savings. :confused3
What do you all think?

I too have the same issue.
I have a AAA rate for a room only ressie at FW Cabins for the end of January.
When I called WDW to check for a code (didn't have one :sad1: ) I asked how I could get the ticket discount (if it came out as a public code later). The CM said I would have to book a package with a AAA agent to keep the AAA room discount, and that sometimes AAA can apply a code and sometimes they can't.
So, in other words, it's worth talking to a AAA TA to find out if they can apply any WDW codes to their packages.
Anyone else have any experience with this?

Anyone know what the price for children is with the Canadian code? For instance, if this is the code we get, I would pay $385 for myself, my husband, my 12yo, but what would it be for my 6yo and 9yo?

The PIN code and Canadian Code...and probably later the US code....not only give you a free upgrade on the ticket, but also give you a room discount.
For a Value Room during Value Season (January and the first half of February), the room rate ends up being very close to AAA rate....plus you get the free upgrade of the hoppers and the water parks and more. I'm not sure what the discount would be on any other level of room. You may be able to see some reservation examples by visiting the DIS Canadian Board.
Also...the water parks and more not only includes the water parks, but also includes Disney Quest which is normally around $30 to $40 per person. If you have never checked out Disney Quest, this may be the time to do it since the ticket is basically free. My 7 year old DS loved it....especially the multi-person Pirates of the Caribbean simulator.
The Canadian code has a disclaimer stating that a Canadian address is required for booking prior to 11/1/07. I'm thinking that on or after 11/1/07, it will open up to everyone. In the past....it has opened to Disney Visa holders a few days earlier than the general public.

Just FYI, I booked using a pin, and 4 nights, 5 days at WL std room with PH's for our family of 4 (dd11, ds12) would have been $2124.68, and with base tickets, it would have been $1933 per WDW website. I paid $1766.62, so it seems to me that I must have gotten a slight room reduction, too. The package also includes the mini golf voucher, the sea raycer voucher, and the planet hollywood $15 off. Just thought those numbers might help those trying to see if AAA would be a better discount.
