Is there high speed Internet available at FW? I know about the resorts, but not FW. I think premium sites have it available, right next to the beer taps.

Is there anyplace like TE where wireless might be available? For a fee of course. I don't want WDW going broke on this.

you get some sort of modem contraption if you are at a preferred site. when i was there, they were out, so i had to sit like a mope in between the checkin areas.... the one by the bar wasn't working. the bar and the checkin area are $10 per day for wireless. It's $10 a day at the site if they have the modem contraption.

hope that helps

Yea, it just brings up a web page on your machine when you connect that verifies that you want to pay the money, and if you are want it for your site they rent you a suitcase kind of kit that has the modem and cables and all that in it so that you can hook up your internet. Last I checked it was like a $150 deposit, not sure if that price has changed.

Has anyone who has used the box provided by FW, tried to use a wireless router with the box? Just wondering if that would be a way to share the cost.
Another way and the way I access the internet is by using my cell phone as the modem. It's faster than dial up but a tad slower than high speed.

And yes, if you connect a wireless router it will work, I've done it a Boardwalk.

So their is an off chance of getting a wireless signal if someone at the resort has a wireless router hooked up? I'd be willing to split the cost if anyone who's there with me wants to go in half. Heck if there's 3 or 4 of us, we could all share the WPA password/key and cut the cost even lower, I mean...Im spending 7 nights there and I simply refuse to pay 70$ for internet access. I wonder if my routers signal would be strong enough to reach from the cabin loops to the RV loops.Anyone know how much range them things have?

Unless you have an outside antenna the range is only 200 foot or so.
