My DS is pretty sick and has been for over 2 weeks. There's a link to the story in my signature. If you pray, we'd sure appreciate it.

Absolutely as I am writing this!:grouphug: I know this is a stupid question but my son had this same exact issue when he was younger and they ran all these tests but forget the obvious. Has your child moved his bowels lately? My son is Autistic and GI issues are awful. Sorry if this is redundant and have been already discussed and ruled out by your Ped.

Keep me posted!!We're waiting to get into the GI practice at Emory/Egleston. We usually use SR (have been there more times than I care to remember), but the GI practice at SR we will never use again. We may end up in the ER if we can't get in soon just to be seen.

Sorry to hear that! Emory is excellent too!! Perhaps a bad Dr. at SR! So is it a GI issue as far as your concerned or something else? Has the tests all come back yet? No issues with appendicitis, kidneys, liver etc.

My oldest DS has had some GI issues related to his disability. I'm so sorry to hear what a problem it's been for you to get some answers.
I'll be thinking of you and your son!:grouphug:

Hoping you find some answers soon, we are sending prayers and pixie dust your way. It is so frustrating and stressful to play the waiting game with your childs health. My youngest DD had seizures 3-4 times a day for the first 6 months of her life and Dr kept telling me she was having a sour belly leading to reflux, so I had to be that pain in the @##$ parent! And finally got some answers, Just keep after them, you know your child the best out of everyone, you know when somthing is definitly wrong. Take care we are hoping for a quick recovery for your son.

Rees has surgery next Thursday, Oct 25, to cauterize both sides of his nose and replace his ear tubes. He was so nervous and upset when we were at the office. They have ordered a little "happy juice" when he arrives at the surgery center to keep him calm.
Rees is still having "episodes" on and off all day. Although now he NEVER complains of pain. Considering how he looks and his lack of appetite, bathroom issues, it hard to believe he's NOT hurting. We just think he's gotten used to it which breaks my heart.
I really think the Ped is doing everything he can to get Rees into Emory GI which is based at Egleston Children's hospital. He called them all day, and they never even answered him, so now Ped is POd too. His good friend (Dr. S) is a GI in the same practice as Dr. AAA (one we won't see), but I do like Dr. S. I just am leery of going there as I know I will see Dr. AAA on-call, etc. But, it would get Rees in with a good GI sooner than later. Also, Dr. S does procedures on Friday and the Ped thinks he can ask him to run tests on Rees then which would be good.
Ped called in Reglan tonight for Rees which is supposed to help move his GI system faster and help prevent blockages. The on-call doc at Emory suggested it. We will see if it helps.
So, once again, we're W A I T I N G... Thanks for the prayers!

PRAY PLEASE!!!!! We may have good news. I teach pre-school, and one of my mom's from last year just called. Her DH is an attorney and represents Emory and their Drs! He knows them all very well and the head of Patient Advocates and Risk Management. He put in one call and has been sending them all my email updates. The pt advocate called the Emory GI head doctor, and he is getting us in ASAP and is calling me personally on my cell later. She said if he doesn't get us in fast enough to call back and she'll make sure it happens.
SO PRAY THAT THIS HAPPENS! I have hope. I have butterflies in my stomach. I'm actually smiling! Praise God and thanks to HIM for such good friends!
