That I'm a complete and TOTAL scrapping addict.

I just spent the last 20 minutes packing a "bag" of scrapping projects to work on while we have parent-teacher conferences tomorrow night.

In my "down" time between parent visits I plan on trying to finish a MAJOR project I've undertaken-25 handmade from scratch photo books for family members for my grandmother's 80'th birthday.

So far I have the books assembled using my bind-it-all. I made chipboard H's and covered them with paper to hang as a sort of "charm" on the top ring. I also made chipboard stars and covered those as well. I originally intended on putting ribbon coming out of the book covers so you could tie them shut and forgot... so I'm going to punch a crop-a-dile hole and attach the tying ribbons with grommets. :D

Wow, that took a weird long-winded turn. :)

Anyway, how bad am I to be working on this project while I've got conferences?? Last year I knitted purses ;)

I don't think it's bad at all... it's multi-tasking!!

I crop photos, run stuff through the xyron and journal while waiting to pick the kids up at school. I have to get there about 25 minutes early to get a good parking space so heck why not do something productive with your time!!

:thumbsup2 Thats NOTHING! I host CM crops while working from home :guilty::rotfl2:

OK, I class it as my lunch hour (plus another hour and a half ;) ) and they're in my home for just 2 or 3 close friends, so they're cool if I have to snatch up the phone or go to the PC. And often if I'm waiting for someone to send me something I might sort a phtoo or look through paper :blush; But hey, I'm DIS-ing at work, and its more productive than just doodling - honest! it really frees up my brain if I'm stuck on some briefing to fiddle with paper for a few minutes - sort of clears all the blockages.

Hey, I normally bring my swap stuff to school to sort it and bag it up. I do it during the 30 minuts I wait for the last few kids to leave. We have 2 runs of buses and I have 4 students who stay after the rest leave. It isn't like I could be teaching anything. I sketch things out durring meeting with information that I already know. I have yet to understand why I need to attend the same training every year for certain programs. If I used it successfully one year or more what makes them think I can't use it anymore.

Good try, Nancy. Your multi tasking is getting out of the house and spending the evening with adults.:woohoo:

Well, it's not multitasking, but here's how I know I'm a bit of an addict. I booked our 2008 trip today and we are splitting our stay between POFQ and WL. I've never stayed at POFQ, and when we stayed at WL I wasn't a scrapper yet.....all I could think was, "Cool, totally different themes to scrap next year!" I'm also strongly considering different character meals just so I can get new autographs and different photos than this year:)!

Kim, you are going to LOVE POFQ. It is quaint, very easy to get around no matter where your room is. I've stayed there two times.

I think this is an awesome use of time! I will have to try that when I am waiting at the kids' lessons. Right now my obsession is sewing and I'm not sure how to bring that with me.

Well, I got a TON done yesterday. I ran out of ribbon so I can't do any more ties until I get some and I put on all the monogram "charms".

Now if my mom would send me one set of pics I could make a template... :surfweb:
