Hi

Has anyone recently bought any decently priced travel insurance for pre existing medical condition?

I need to buy soon, holiday in March, ds has Epilepsy on top of his Autism and non verbal communication problems.

If you are going through a Travel Agent, ask them. If not, try talking to Guest Relations at your airline, or even try the Royal Automobile Club. You should be able to review the policy before buying it; if necessary contact the insurance company directly (not the broker) with the quesitons so you will know in advance.

It depends on whether you want the condition covered, or just normal insurance without cover for the condition. I would guess with epilepsy, you'd want the former. Unfortunately, this will make it more expensive.

When I got cover I went with Halifax, but this didn't include any cover for any treatment needed for my existing condition.
