Quick Dining plan question. If I read it correctly you can get the dining plan based on your length of stay at a DVC resort. I'll be there 5 nights. Can I only get 5 credits per person or 6 based on 6 days vs 5 nights?

The DDP is purchased for each night of your complete stay for all members in your party.

So if I'm staying 5 nights I can't get 6 "days" of the plan?

You will have 6 days to use the 5 credits.

Your credits can be used from the time you check-in until midight of your check-out day. As most folks arrive at the resort in early afternoon, and leave in the morning of their check-out day, they credits based on the number of nights works fine for them.

If you are checking in early and staying late on your check-out day, then you'll need to plan for some out-of-pocket meals.

Are you allowed to add a day or do the only let you purchase the number of nights of your stay?

You can not add a day, unless you want to use your points to add an extra night to you reservatoin, then simply leave early. Not cost efficient, though.
