I am wondering if I can expect the AP rates to go down at all... At this point, they are still roughly $30 more/night than AAA or Super Saver.
Or are they as low as they will go?

Thanks for the rates.
Does anyone know if they will go down? I have my room booked at HRH (deluxe king club, $279.20, AAA rate). My rate is better than APH, at this point, but I wonder if that might change???

On netbooker I see an APH rate of $259 for 12/14 - 12/15 and $219 12/16. SS states $247. Did the hotel quotel you something different? I see you have a Friday and Saturday and Loews does jam for that. Only Loews knows for sure if they'll drop rates, but I doubt they'll drop further.
Whoops I see know you're in club. I think you did really good considering it's only $20 over APH rate on 2 of the nights. Sadly, I still thinks it's the best you're gonna get. You did great!

You guys totally rock! I was booked Dec 22-27 at the standard rate of $319. I booked back in March and I don't know if they had SS rates out then, but I just changed my rate to $239.
I was actually looking for a way to find out APH rates. We live in Kentucky but are planning another Orlando trip in June 2008, so it might be worth buying. Any help?

To check the APH rate this is how I do it.
Click on the hotel you want to stay at
Click on Rates and Offers
Click on Seasonal Offers
Click on Begin Purchase
It will bring up the reservation screen. Under Promotion code (if any) type in APH, select your dates. You can also enter your Lowes First number there too. Then click search. If there is an APH rate it will show it along with other rates too.

Are you going through the Loews site? When I go there and choose Royal Pacific, I get a small square pop-up to "Check Availability". There isn't anywhere to put in a code. That is where I found the Super Saver rate.
I've tried to go through UniveralOrlando and got a rate of $582!:scared1:

I go threw the universalstudios.com site.
That's where I find the super saver rate and the APH rate.
What are your dates and which hotel and I can see what I can find for you.

I wasn't sure which hotel you were looking at so this is what I found. First amount is average daily rate second is the total.
We ended up getting the annual pass in Sept since we were staying in Sept and Dec. It worked out as a better deal. Especially since we need 2 rooms in Dec and were able to get the rooms for 5 nights at 805.00 at RPR

You are my new favorite person in the universe! :goodvibes
I went to the site and also found the RPR rate of $164 (total: $820).
I've read that we can get a Preferred AP instead of Premier and still get the discount. Now, we already bought tickets when they were $89 for 7 days. If we can just upgrade one of us instead of dumping it, that makes it $100.
I cannot believe I have gone from $1595 for my hotel stay to possibly $820 plus $100 for the upgrade! :woohoo:
Thanks so, so much for your help!

We bought the preferred AP and used that. We didn't do the premier. And when we were there we asked if we could upgrade the 89.00 7 day ticket to an annual pass and were told that we could. They just take into consideration how much of the ticket was used. So just do it the first day you get there and you should be set !
We were stoked too when we went from the same rates too. We almost didn't go because we needed 2 rooms at 1500 LOL Then we got the rate of 805 for 5 nights per room back in August. Now it's only 15.00 more but still a great rate.
If you have your room already booked go to the Universal site and log into your reservation, click on edit. Once you are in the edit page you can have it search for the rates and then click apply and it will change your existing reservation. That is what I did. I actually ended up with a credit because I had already paid off the Dec trip so I had them apply the credit to our Sept trip.

Hmmm, I'm trying to figure out how to work this. Right now, we have expedia vouchers for our tickets, but they are paid for. I don't see how we can do anything toward actually getting the AP until the day we arrive and turn in the vouchers.
Without the AP number, we cannot get the AP rate.
I'm thinking we'll have to go immediately to the park the day we arrive, get the tickets taken care of and then go to the hotel with the AP in hand and request the AP rate. They do have to honor that, right? Do you suppose the rate can/will change between now and then? :confused3
Ah, what a tangled web! LOL!

No don't wait until you arrive. They may not have the AP rate available when you arrive. You don't need the AP in hand to book that rate. We didn't have ours until after we checked in. And we were not even asked to see them.
I would change it now and if they ask just show them the vouchers that show you purchased them and are on your way to pick them up.
You know how to log into your reservation right ?
When you do that click Edit and when you do it will let you do another search.
In the promotion box put in APH and click search. It will then show the other rate. You then click select on the room you want and it will take you to a screen showing the rate and total. At the bottom of that page it asks if you want to discard changes or save changes. To take the new price just click save changes. It will then show you your new rate.
You don't have to enter any AP number or anything

I so wish we were staying at HRH again. We haven't tried RPR yet. This is our first time. We stayed at HRH in Sept and loved it. I'm hoping we like RPR too. I was so close to switching to HRH yesterday but Dh wants to try RPR.
Maybe we will run into each other ! If you see 2 crazy adults with 4 kids going nuts that will be us ! We have a 14, 12 and 3 yr old and my BF's 15 yr old too with us.

We stayed at the RPR last time and we really liked it. We just had a standard room, tower 2 I think--we were overlooking I4 (?) and the doggie park. We were pretty far away from the pool etc but still liked it A LOT!
My DH only knows that we are staying at HRH. He has no clue that we are staying club or that I've managed to snag a king deluxe! Can't wait to see his face.
Who knows...we might just run into each other! PS, I wish our vacation was as long as yours!
