Has anyone on here ever been selected to go to this leadership conference?
I got selected to go to it.
Only one sophmore from each school can go.
I know it's next summer but does anyone know what to expect?
I really know nothing about it.

HOBY alumna here :) It's a lot of fun. Where are you going?

The basic format is lots of fun. There's cheers (which we do a LOT) and fun, but there's also a lot of serious stuff. I know that I had to sit through panels (where adults talk) and then you get to ask questions. It made me think hard.

It pretty much changed my life. I still talk to all the people I met there and they're my best friends.

I went last year. I also went to the major one in DC.

It's OUTSTANDING that you're going (or possibly going)!

Depending on where you're from, I could also give you names and addresses of alumni who went to the WLC (the "superbowl" of HOBY) from your state.

Just an addition-it's a GREAT honor to be selected :)

My friend told me about it and said that it's fun.
I will probably go for some type of journalism.
I'm not sure though.
I have to find a sponsor to help pay.
Lol.
I'm kinda nervous though.

Congrats. I was selected for that and all other kinds of leadership forums and stuff but i didnt go cause my mom said all these places just want your money.

They do all sorts of different things-they did one big panel on media {journalism}, education, religion, energy...all the stuff you can see on CNN.
