Need help! I'm turning 46 while down to Disney in November. I always wanted to see Hoop-Dee-Do-Review but my DBF isn't much into cutesy and doesn't think that 2 adults with no kids will have that much fun. Plus either one of us are into audience participation. I also have a ADR for Yachtsman Steakhouse for the same night. So what should I do for my birthday dinner? We are using the Dining plan so they are both 2 TS meals. Help please

i wish i could help, but i haven't been to either one. it sounds like you're trying to talk yourself out of hoop dee doo, but which one do you think *you* would rather, not your DBF? hopefully others will have opinions :)

As a previous poster said it sounds like you are trying to talk yourself out of hoop-dee-do, remember its your bday and you should do what you want to do.
Having said that, I have never been to hoop-dee-do so i cant comment on what it is like and how adults might enjoy it. However i am a huge fan of the Yachtsman's steak house food is great and the service is amazing. Last time we went we had an Israeli waiter and he couldnt have been any nicer. After dinner we like to enjoy a stroll round to the boardwalk. You could pop into Jellyrolls and enjoy a drink.
Yachtsman's steak house is a very 'adult' thing to do i can assure you i would be worth 2 TS credits from your DDP, but if you had originally wanted to go to hoop then you should try it afterall it is your bday!

I just got back on the 12th of Oct from our trip. Our traveling party consisted of 2 couples (ages 21-25). We went to hoop and loved it...We all love going out and enjoying ourselves and have no problem singing and yelling along with the crowd/performers. They do sing happy birthday to everyone that is having a birthday (its actually part of the show, they walk out in the crowd and meet/ask people their names before they sing). So I would say if you like having fun and dont mind getting involved with the show do Hoop!
