I hope you guys remember me. I used to hang around her a lot more, but I have been trying to cut back on my pin habbit a little bit. I got married last summer and we are saving for a house.

Anyway, every summer I direct a free summer theater project for local children. There is no cost for the kids to participate in this program. It is sponsored by local businesses. The idea is to introduce some kids to the fine arts who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to be involved.

This year, we are doing Alice In Wonderland! I am so excited! I always try to do something really special and fun for the kids and their parents the weekend before our play opens, to thank them for their hard work. This year, we are doing a Saturday afternoon "Mad Tea Party". We're going to have a lopsided pink cake, real tea cups and saucers (I've been buying these at swamp meets and yard sales), fancy little sandwhiches, silly games, etc.

I would love to have one of the "Mad Tea Party" pins for each of the kids in the group. You know, the one that shows the Mad Hatter and the March Hare riding in the tea cups? It says "Mad Tea Party" on it. I know that the kids would love these and they would really add a lot of our party.

So, I am looking to buy as many of these pins as I can find. There will probably be 25 kids in our play, so I need a lot of them! I already have one in my personal collection, so I will use that as well. Since I don't have any budget for this, I will be paying for all the party expenses (pins included) out of my own pocket. For that reason, I really need to find some low prices on them. If you have any of these pins and would be willing to let go of them for a low price, please let me know! I really don't have any traders anymore, or I would trade for them. Thanks!

Ginny,

What a fun summer project and how lucky you are to be involved! My summer projects tend to be things like cleaning out closets, scraping off old paint, etc.

I don't think we have any Mad Hatter pins in our family's personal collections. However, we are off to WDW in a few days. If we spot any on CM lanyards -- they're for your kids! :D

Here's my only request: Please keep a count here on the boards, of how many pins you receive. That way everyone can enjoy seeing your progress, and we'll all know when to stop hunting!

Ginny,

What a great project!! I have one for you. Just send me your address and it is on it's way to you....my gift. I am also headed to WDW in April. If you still need them by then let me know and I'll be on the lookout while I am there.

Thanks to kind people on the DIS, I now have about 10 of these pins on the way to me! And several more people are going to be looking for them on upcoming WDW trips. That leaves me until the end of May to try to round up about 15 more. I see lots of them on Ebay, but I really can't afford to pay Ebay prices.

If anybody else has this pin and could help me out, please let me know. I really am willing to buy them at a low cost.

Also, a HUGE thank you to those who have offered to send me your Mad Tea Party pin as a donation! That is someting I totally didn't expect! I know the pins will really be loved and appreciated by the kids. Most of them come from very low income homes and they probably won't get the chance to go to WDW. This summer play is a very big deal to them. The pins will make them so happy! It's the little details that make the difference. :D

You guys really are the best!

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has responded so far! I now only need to find about 12 more of these pins before the end of May! My plan is to have the Mad Tea Party on the Saturday before our performance. Each of the kids will get a little tea cup and saucer as a party favor. It will be filled with candy and a Mad Tea Party pin. I think they will love it!:) It will be a great reward for all their work on the play and a great way to get them in the mood for our performance! If anybody else has any of these pins available, please let me know! Thanks again!

Hi Ginny,

I think what you're doing is great! My girls are actresses, too, and I know how much resource it can take up. I have at least one I can send to you to help, and I'm sure I can get some more - where do we send them?
