Night of Joy 2008 - when and what?

Do the Night of Joy events dramatically impact park crowds and/or DVC availability? I don't think the dates are out yet for 2008 but in planning our Sept trip, I don't know if I should give this alot or a little consideration. :3dglasses

Night of Joy usually coincides with the annual September pin event in Epcot. I usually book a studio at BWV or BCV, but some years I have booked a 2BR at BCV or OKW. I never make these reservations before June or July and have rarely had a problem that didn't work out after a brief stay on the wait list. So if you book at the 7 or 11 window, you should have a good selection.

A lot of the Night of Joy attendees are busload of teens and young adults who would not be staying at DVC resorts.

I've been in the parks during the day in this same time period, and crowds are low to moderate. It is a good time of year from that perspective.

In 2008 Night of Joy moves from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We were there in 2006. The park closes early for the event. It was very, very, crowded. Most of the people started coming in around 4:30-5:00p. Not sure it impacts the resorts. I think alot of people were from Florida.
