CLothes for mid-october

My family and I are coming to Disney World next week and were wondering what type of clothes to pack for this time of year? Shorts?

Just got back on Sunday from a one-week trip. Wore shorts all week - didn't need long pants at all (and the one night I wore capris, to California Grill, they were too warm!). Didn't even need a long-sleeved layer for the air conditioning indoors - short-sleeved t-shirts worked great indoors, unless we got really soaked by the rain.

It's really hot and humid right now - every day last week, it was about 90 degrees and very humid. Plus it was really rainy (last Friday, we had eight or nine separate little rain showers!) so be prepared for rain. Bring extra shoes in case yours get soaked, and have a good sturdy poncho ready. We bought WDW ponchos this trip and they seemed to be made of flimsier material than in years past - one of them ripped at the neck. (A friend brought hers from 2005 and it was made of better material.) I wish I had brought my nice Eddie Bauer poncho that I bought at Target - it was much less flimsy.

I live here..shorts are fine!! I would maybe bring a hoodie, sweatshirts in the park are like 30 bucks!!!

Thanks for the info!!! We will be leaving in only 74 more hours!:woohoo: Weather looks to still be hot when we arrive on Monday. Great website for the forcast though! Will have to keep an eye on it for the next few days!

We are leaving Sunday morning, bright and early...5 am...the limo arrives! Can't wait to see the GF again! We are bringing ALL shorts, short sleeve shirts, a couple of capris (for me)...hoodies for everyone, very small umbrellas in gallon size zip lock baggies, so after a shower, we can ut them back into our bag without getting everything else wet (tip from my BFF who was there w/ family in August)...the weather looks like some small showers (surprise, surprise) and warm days! That will be a small change from Chicagoland weather!
