in Orlando.

I live 90 miles away from Orlando and usually only go to Disney when I'm in Orlando. I have 3 kids under 10. One of my best friends from college is coming to Orlando for a convention later this month. We haven't seen each other since '91. Neither of us have the extra spending cash to go to Disney, Universal or Sea World. We're only meeting up for one day.

Other than staying at her hotel and hanging out by the pool, I am looking for recommendations for an activity we can all do together that doesn't cost a lot of money. I suggested window shopping at DTD but I'm afraid the kids will want to buy everything under the sun. She's (gasp!) not a big Disney person but is outdoorsey

Is there a nice park, zoo, something that isn't too pricey?

Thanks!

How about visit the campground? They have the sing a long/disney movie every night and it is free! Just bring your own making for smores and maybe some bug spray. Also, why not visit the Boardwalk hotel. My kids love going there for ice cream and watching the street shows. Good luck and have fun with your friend.

We had a ball picking our own fruit and then making smoothies and cocktails for the adults.

They had strawberries already picked that were out of this world. We made a dip with cream cheese and fluff. Again to die for. Ate everything by the pool.

Personally not my favorite but I am not a nature girl at all. My children did enjoy it a lot. We saw birds that we do not get to see in NE.

Not a big up hill hike like we do up here in NE but flat leisurly stroll type hike.
