Hi everyone! :goodvibes
I’ve been looking at some other Pre-Trippies and finally had the courage to make one for my trip. I wasn’t going to write one for 2 reasons:
a) I don’t know if I’ll be good at it.
b) English is not my first language. (Please forgive me for the Grammar horrors, I mean, errors)
But now I’m starting to write because, like some other Disers said: “Is really therapeutic”. And I want to share all my plans and future Trip Report with all of you. So here it goes…
Last time I went to WDW, I was 16 years old(:guilty: ); WDW only had 3 theme parks, and Universal Studios didn’t have IoA. So I’m really excited to be back!
Cast:
:stitch: Fonsy: That’s me! I’m a 27 year old Veterinary Student (almost Doctor, in 6 months, yay!). I got married in March 30, 07(I'll post pictures later if you want to see them). I’m also the obsessive planner of this trip.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Us%20and%20Pets/13.jpg
:goofy: Ariel: My 26 year old DH. When I first met him I thought that his name, Ariel, was a Girl’s name (because the only Ariel I know is The Little Mermaid), and I couldn’t stop making fun of him; ‘till one day he comes up to me with a Baby Name’s Book. That’s how we started dating (3 years ago). He’s also a Veterinary Student, and a Disney Virgin. I just can’t wait to see his reaction when we arrive. He really loves everything Disney; he’s a kid at heart. (We all are).
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Us%20and%20Pets/DSC_5920.jpg
:mickeyjumDulce: My mom, my best friend. I think that she’s more excited than me about the trip (if that’s even possible). She’s a 52 year old MD (Family Medicine) who’s last visit to WDW was 13 years ago. (And she’s going to kill me for posting her age :rotfl: ).
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Us%20and%20Pets/mom.jpg
:ccat:Jerry: My brother. He’s a 28 year old Wedding and Events Planner. He lives in Ft. Lauderdale, and goes to WDW twice a year (I hate him for that ;) ).
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Us%20and%20Pets/jerry.jpg
My mom and brother are the other reasons I’m really happy about this trip.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Us%20and%20Pets/100_2566.jpg
I haven’t seen them since my wedding, and we all live far from each other. (My mom lives in Puerto Rico, he lives in Florida, and I’m currently in Dominican Republic). The last time we went to WDW, as a family was in 1994. I wish I could include my Dad in this trip, but my parents got divorced in 1986, and they get along with each other for short periods of time; lets say 30 minutes:rotfl2: (WDW vacation is not the place to test their patience). Anyways, I love, love my Dad, we have a nice father/daughter relationship; he also lives in Puerto Rico. He’s also MD (Pediatrician), and we made plans for a Disney Trip for 2008 (so I guess it’s all good).
We are a bunch of really silly people, we LOVE each others company, and I hope you’ll like us too in this Trip Report!

Before I forget. We don’t have children yet, but we have 9 wonderful dogs that we consider our kids(Yes, you read it right, 9 dogs; we have a huge backyard, :). We adopted some of them). We love them sooo much that for our wedding we decided that Pepper was going to be the flower girl, and Conan the Ring Bearer.

http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Us%20and%20Pets/drako1_edited-1.jpg
Malecón (He's what some people may call a Mutt. But he thinks he's a pure bred. We told him his breed is Dominican Terrier. My hubby, and I saved him from some cruel kids that tried to drown him, and his brothers at a beach in Santo Domingo for fun:sad2: . Some of the puppies drowned, and a couple of US tourist took 2 of the puppies back home with them).

The Twins (Chihuahua Boys, sons of Pepper & Conan, we decided to keep them because after Pepper gave birth, we decided to spay her like we did we the other girls).

Ok, so now that I wrote what only seems to be like “To Much Information”(with a huge amount of pictures) I’m going to start my itinerary…
Our trip is from October 26 – November 5 (Only 15 days away). Be warned, since we haven’t been here for a long time (and don’t know when we’ll be back) we are planning to do a lot, I mean, A LOT of stuff. We’ll be Comando Style most of the time (I know is not the ideal thing to do, but we can’t help it), and My mom made clear that this trip she wants to go to every character dining available (and we are going to some of those, not all, but for some people I guess will be a lot of time wasted; not for Us). I’ve bought Unofficial Guide to WDW, access to the web site, TGM, and Passporter to get ready for the trip; but the most important thing I did was to join the DIS community (I love you guys).
Day 1:
We have to wake up at 3 am to get ready and go to the airport (Santo Domingo, DR). Our flight leaves at 6:50 am. Our flight had to be with a connection to Miami, so Jerry is meeting us there, and the 3 of us will go from Miami to Orlando in the same flight. We’ll meet mom when we arrive to Orlando’s Airport. We are going to rent a car there, but I’m still not sure which car rental company to choose (I was thinking Alamo, any thoughts?). After that I really hope we don’t get lost (I’m counting on Jerry for that)n on our way to the hotel. We are staying off site at Orange Lake Resort.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/wp_lakefront_8x6.jpg
Here's the link (http://www.orangelake.com/tour_our_resort/photo_galleries.html) if you want to check out how the Resort looks like.
The first time we went to Orlando we stayed there (1990), and my mom got a Time Share there. After the Check In I was planning to go to Maple Leaf Ticket to buy our tickets for the parks we’ll be visiting. I wanted to go to Medieval Times this night, but I don’t know if I have to make a reservation first or just buy the ticket from Maple Leaf.
Summary for Day 1:
- Arrive/Check In
- Buy tickets at Maple Leaf
- GF Photo Shoot (5 pm)
- Dinner at Medieval Times

Day 2:
Today we officially start our WDW Vacation. Were having Breakfast at Ohana’s Character Breakfast. We have ADR for 8:00 a.m. I’m a HUGE Stitch fan(:stitch2: ), and I would love to have my picture taken with him.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/poly42.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/ohanacb7.jpg
After we finish breakfast is time for Typhoon Lagoon.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/TYWave.jpg
I read that it will be closed for refurbishment from Oct 28-31. So this is the only day we have to go to TL (We’ve never been here, except for my brother). After TL, I thought we can go to Blizzard Beach (around 2 p.m.), and hang out for a little while until we go to Chef Mickey’s (ADR for 5:20 p.m).

- Typhoon Lagoon

Thanks for being my first reader! I'm so excited!:woohoo:
My mom is going to Love your comment :rotfl:(she got a little mad at me for posting her age ;) ) . She's always buying products for her hands and face (I think Ebel and Clinique are her favorites).
I'm posting the pictures of the shirts again, in case the link is not working.
And thanks again Avivasmom for taking your time, and reading my Pre-Trip Report:goodvibes
1) We are using this one for MNSSHP (Oct. 30). I want to thank Cruiser1969 for this design...

Hi Dori. Rumblytumbly is the Disigner that made the addict designs, and Amy made the names for me. You just have to go to her thread, and ask for the design, or go to her web page and see what you like. If you see something you like just ask her (for instance, she didn't have the thumper addict, and she made it for me).
For Rumblytumbly (Kari) designs go Here
For M_I_C_K_E_Y (Amy) go Here
After they send me the designs I printed them in light transfer paper (for ironing shirts). You have to print them in reverse, like the mirror image. I cut the drawings from the paper, and then started to iron.
I tried to look at your photo montage, but is taking forever to load. I saw Aviva having fun at the pool (she's so cute); now my mom wants to stay at the Boardwalk next time, so she can enjoy the elephant too :) , she loved it) I'm going to try to watch it again, maybe is faster today

I don’t have any reservations for today. We’ll just go with the flow. We really need this day to be as relaxing as possible, because our next day is going to be mega exhausting (MagicKingdom all Day Looooooong). We’re even getting the express passes for the rides (we also bought them for IoA).
Summary for Day 4:

I don’t know if we’re going to be able to follow this schedule. I’m going to be laughing at this when I return and write about it.
First we have ADR for Crystal Palace at 8:05 a.m.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/ms_crystal.jpg
The park will open at 9 a.m. We’re going to do some rides, maybe the big ones (SpaceMountain, Buzz, Splash M., BigThunderMountain). Then we have lunch at CRT (ADR for 12:25 p.m.)
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/BCB401.jpg
After we finish Lunch, I have 2 options:
a) Go back to the Resort, and return to MK around 3:30 p.m. for MNSSHP (we have ADR for LTT at 4 p.m.)
b) Stay all day at MK (8 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
This is why I wanted to stay on-site; maybe next trip.
For MNSSHP we want to do the Face Painting, Pics at HauntedMansion and at Cinderella’s Coach, the Parade, the Villains Mix, and Mingle, and Hallowishes. We want to do as many attractions as possible during the first parade, and then just relax, and enjoy the rest of the Party. This will be our only day at MK, and we’re going to do it Comando Style :scared: ).

No Character breakfast today. We want to get there before the park opens. I still don’t have this day mapped out because I wanted to check Steve Soares website to see the show schedules.
For Lunch we have ADR for the Sci-Fi at 12:15 p.m., and for Dinner we have the Fantasmic Dinner Package (ADR for Hollywood & Vine, 5:10 p.m.)

A) Buy the Pre-Paid Photopass CD
B) I want to check also if there's time for me to reserve the Grand Floridian Photo Shoot. I know I'm late, but I should try anyway.
C) Call WDW-DINE to check if they have something available for Rainforest Cafe (for AK day). I forgot to add it to my ADR, but I just forgot, and I think is too late now. :sad2:

Hi Dori! :flower3:
I was forced to be organized :rotfl2: . I only read the Unofficial Guide before joining the DIS, and the only website I knew about was allearsnet.com. And I thought that’s what I needed to be ready (Big Mistake). Then I joined the DIS, and learned a LOT. We’re not buying the hopper tickets, so I had to figure what parks to visit for each day. After that was decided, I chose the restaurants. I just hope I don’t gain 20 extra pounds on this trip.

I'm really happy today! :hyper:
I called to see if I was going to be able to make reservations for the GF Photo Shoot. I was expecting a big NO. But I got it for Friday, October 26 at 5 p.m.(yay!) :stitch:
And I'm really happy, because that day was the only day we could do it (I want the 4 of us to be in the photo shoot). I just hope everything goes as planned. This will be the day we arrive. We have to get to the hotel a.s.a.p. :car: (around 2 p.m.); Check In, and if the room isn't ready then we'll go to Maple Leaf to get the tickets :moped: . After that, go back to the hotel :drive: , take everything to the room, get ready for the photo shoot, go to the GF :car: , and finally, Medieval Times at 7 p.m. :faint:
I'll stop now, I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. :lmao:

I called to see if I was going to be able to make reservations for the GF Photo Shoot. I was expecting a big NO. But I got it for Friday, October 26 at 5 p.m.(yay!)
Very cool that you got it when you wanted it...cannot wait to see pics.
The GF photo shoot costs $49.99, but with the pre-ordered cd is just $25
What a great price.

I called WDW-DINE this morning, and was able to get the ADR for Rainforest Café at the exact time I wanted.:woohoo: .
The only thing I need to finish with all my plans is to find a spot at the Illumination Cruise, if not, I'll be happy anyways :hippie:
Your trip plan sounds good. It looks like you should have plenty of time to enjoy the park.

Day 9:
Sea World Day:
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/sea-world-orlando.jpg
I really love this park. I enjoyed every show last time I went. But last time there was no Kraken, or Atlantis, so I’m looking forward for this two. The reason I love this park (well, main reason is for the animals), is because is not all about the rides, you just have to sit back, and enjoy the shows.
We plan on having Lunch at Sharks Reef Restaurant (I have to make the reservations as soon as I can, when the park opens; they don’t take online reservations, neither by phone).
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/restaurant_sharksunderwaterb.jpg
For Lunch I still don’t have any ideas. I’m going to be checking that today at their web page. Our main event will be feeding the dolphins, and the Shamu show.

Then we’ll go to Downtown Disney. I also wanted to check the outlet stores, and a scrapbook store in Kissimmee (Mouse Memories). After cleaning what’s left in our pockets we’ll go back to the resort to start packing. :sad1:

Hello Everyone. I got home Nov. 5. I had a great time at the World, and the other parks. But like everything in life, there was the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’ll explain later as I write the report. I also wanted to get all my pictures from the photopass, but is taking me forever to edit them on the site. So I decided to start without them, if I keep waiting ‘till I get the CD I’ll never start this report.
So keep your arms inside the vehicle at all times, no flash photography or videotaping allowed on the ride (:lmao: )….Here we gooooo! :woohoo:

Arrival
The night before our trip we said goodbye to our kids (dogs), left all the instructions for their care, and went to my in-laws house. They offered a ride to the airport, and since we had to be there at 4 a.m., we decided it was better to just stay at their house. Needless to say, I did not sleep at all. I was really excited, and worried that if I fell asleep I was not going to get up on time, and that we would miss the flight (Because the 3 alarms clocks that I brought where not going to work). At 3:00 a.m. on the dot the phone rang…yes, it was mom. She could not sleep either (she’s being afraid of flying since 9/11, she always gets nervous before a flight), so she gave me a wake up call. We got ready really fast, and headed to the airport. We got there even before the airline staff. At this point I started feeling really tired (I started thinking that maybe sleeping was not a bad idea after all).
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Orlando%20Trip%2007/IMG_6182.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Orlando%20Trip%2007/IMG_6183.jpg
We waited for our flight…we left Dominican Republic at 6:30 A.M. This was a 2 ½ hour flight to Miami, and all we got was a tiny glass of juice, and a microscopic little bag of pretzels (I remembered they were more generous last time). The landing was not smooth at all, and we had to wait a good 20 min. before getting off the plain (the pilot was waiting for a parking spot). Our flight to Orlando was at 11:00 a.m. so we thought we had time to eat some breakfast. After we ate, I asked a lady from AA where our gate was (it didn’t showed on the ticket), and she told us that we really needed to hurry up because the gate was at the opposite side of the airport (Translation: A really, really not so nice long walk). We made it just in time.
We were like two little kids when the plain landed at Orlando and even more excited when we got to the airport’s train to pick up our luggage.

It was 12:30 p.m. My brother, Jerry, was already waiting for us at baggage claim, and mom was at the Alamo counter renting the car. Our official car for the trip was a Toyota Highlander (Mid size SUV). After getting some directions we headed to our Resort.
Before that we stopped at a Sizzler (we were starving). Our server was from D.R. also.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Orlando%20Trip%2007/IMG_6192.jpg

We checked in, went to our room, and started exploring our home for the next 10 days. It was really nice, and spacious. It had 2 bedrooms (one master, with bathroom, and Jacuzzi; one regular with 2 queen sized beds), bathroom, washer and dryer, complete kitchen, dining room, living room, and a little patio. And the best part is that the Resort is located only 10 min. away from WDW gate.

It was 3:00 p.m., so we decided it was better to start unpacking, and getting ready for the GF Photo Shoot. I decided to buy the park tickets at the resort (they offered nice prices). We also decided not to go to Medieval Times. We were tired, and just wanted to rest.
We arrived at GF around 4:30 p.m. and headed straight to the PhotoPass counter on the 2nd floor (Our appointment was for 5:15 p.m.).

We were greeted by Faith, which was also our photographer. After paying the $25 for the photo shoot, Faith told us to follow her so she could start taking the pictures. It was great that we started earlier than our appointment because the sky looked like it was going to start raining. First we went to the beach area, and took some of the best pictures. Then we went to the pool area, and took some pictures with the hotel as background, and for the final shots we went inside, and she took some pictures of us at the stairs. After the session, we went back to the counter where she showed us all of the pictures (she took more than I ever expected; 99 shots; it sounds like a lot but is really not if you count the fact that they take 4 shots of the same pose), and then gave us a PhotoPass Card with all of them. Now let me tell you something about Faith…She is the sweetest and nicest photographer ever. She was great, and always made us feel comfortable. If you’re ever doing the photo shoot, ask for her!

I guess being a model is exhausting because we were hungry again (by now you must think we eat a lot). My mom wanted sea food, and we saw this huge sign that said “All you can eat Lobster...” The name of the place is Angel’s. Jerry did not want to stop here, he said it was not a nice place to eat; but mom was hooked on that sign, so we went. The place needed some touch ups, and the food was not that good. But we only came for the lobster, so we only had that, and some crab legs.

And as you'll see for the next couple of days I don't show up smiling in the pictures, don't get me wrong, I was happy, is just that I messed up more than 50% of the GF photo shoot pictures because I don't have a great photo smile, so I started working on my photo smile, and I did not smile in any picture 'till I found it :lmao:

Hi!. Glad to hear from you again. I was really worried about Noel too. It hit pretty bad. We knew nothing about it untill someone asked us where we come from, and everytime we said DR, we got a pad on the shoulder. That day we put the wather channel, and saw how bad it was. I called my house to check on the dogs, mjm, kids, and they were fine. The only thing that happened is that a lot of water came inside the house from the balcony on the 2nd floor, and it flooded all the rooms. But other than that it was fine. I feel sad for all the people that died, specially one mom that lost 2 of her children. :sad1:
I'm glad everyone is fine :) You're going to be busy clean all the rooms :sad1:

The Good, and the Bad
Today we waked up really excited. We were going to our first character breakfast! (The Good). We took some photos, and then went to the 2nd floor. ADR was for 8:00 a.m. at ‘Ohana (Polynesian Resort). The weather was bad; it was going to be a rainy day. I think we got there at around 7:30 a.m., and it was DARK. We waited like 10 minutes before having our photo taken, and then we were seated. The food was great. First we had pineapple bread, some fruit, and then the lady brought out big plate wit scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and Mickey waffles. She also brought a jar of orange juice.

Stitch was the first character to greet us. I was so excited; I mean, I LOVE Stitch. Now…this is the part that I described as The Beginning of the Bad, at it had nothing to do with Disney, or the characters, it was my brother, Jerry, which started acting like an **s . He did not want to be in any of the pictures. Every time we told him to pose with us he would get mad. We managed to get him in some of them, but he made it clear that it was against his will (at least he smiled). He said that he did not like the characters, that he was to old for that, and that he’s not a tourist because he comes to WDW twice every year . We let him be. Then came Lilo, followed by Pluto, and last but not least, Mickey. It was a really nice breakfast, and character interaction. They signed our autograph books, and let us take as many photos as we wanted.

It was close to 10:00 a.m., so we headed to Blizzard Beach. The plans were for Typhoon Lagoon, but since we live in a Tropical Island, I thought Hubby, and Mom would enjoy the snow atmosphere more.
The Bad: My brother said he wanted to leave us at the water park, and then go back to the resort because he had work to do. Mom said that he promised her to clear his schedule before the trip so we could all spend some quality time together. He finally agreed to stay, but did not put a bathing suit on because he was not going to enjoy the park, so instead he stayed at the table, and proceeded to do some paperwork. I was so mad. We all saved the money for this trip, and invited him for free. I know life is not about money, but all I was thinking was that if he did not plan to have fun at BB, then stay at the hotel, I mean, why spend the $40+ for a ticket if you’re not going to do anything :confused3  .
We went to the bathrooms to put our bathing suits on, and I starting paying attention to the details that WDW puts in everything, even the bathroom signs (so you’ll see more photos of bathrooms in this report).

The first thing we did was to take the Chair Lift to the top of Mt.Gushmore andslide down Summit Plummet. All I can say is that we did not repeat this slide. Oh, and ladies beware, I had the type of bathing suit that has pants, and after the slide I had a G-string, a Mega wedgie (sp?). It was too scary for both of us (this was the only ride that mom said no to). We also went to
Teamboat Springs (http://allearsnet.com/btp/bz_06.htm), The Toboggan Racer (http://allearsnet.com/btp/bz_07.htm), Downhill Double Dipper (http://allearsnet.com/btp/bz_03.htm), Snow Stormers (http://allearsnet.com/btp/bz_08.htm) .

(That's us, getting ready...And yess, that's me in the picture trying to get the pant out of my butt:lmao: )
There were photo pass photographers taking pictures, they took some pictures of the 3 of us chilling in the lazy river. After all the slides, and the lazy river, we went to Melt-awayBay (the wave pool). There were photo pass people here too. I’ll show them as soon as I get the CD.

We all took a little nap back at the resort, and got ready at 4 p.m. for Chef Mickey’s. We arrived early so we went to the store and fooled around with the character’s hat.

Then we went back to the restaurant, had our picture taken, and were seated right away. The food was great, and the character interaction was even better than ‘Ohana. We had Pluto, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Mickey. They were awesome! When Minnie came by the table my brother took the picture for us, and then Minnie asked him to be in the picture too; when he refused she grabbed him by the hand, very politely, and told me to take the picture. It was really funny. The other thing we loved doing at the Contemporary Resort was watching the Monorail. Another great experience!!

After dinner we went to Downtown Disney. All we wanted to do was to see the Big Disney Store, World of Disney. After a lot of walking we realized that the store was at the end of other side of DD (So much for planning :rotfl: ). But we enjoyed getting lost; it gave us the opportunity to see things that were not planned, like all the restaurants, all the other stores, the Lego place, and more. The Disney Store is amazing! The themes are great. I loved the villains part of the store. After spending more than we budget for this part of the trip we took some more pictures, and went back to the Resort. I only wished we went in daylight (I wanted to take some nice pictures of the Huge Stitch that’s on top of the Store).

I wanted to elaborate more, but I need to be in class in an hour, and have to get ready. I didn’t want to miss another trip report day. I’ll post Day 3 in a couple of days because I need to upload some pictures, and clean all the mess that Noel left. See you soon! :goodvibes
What wonderful pictures! It looks like YOU had a fun time. Unfortunately you can't make other people relax and enjoy family. :confused3 Later he will regret not spending time with his family. At least the Disney experience was enjoyable :goodvibes .

Island of Adventures:
We woke up early, around 7:30 a.m. We needed to get ready, buy the tickets (which, BTW, was mistake #1 for me. To me #1 rule for next trip is to have the tickets for all the parks from Day 1), and drive to Universal Studios ( 30 min. drive from our resort). We got a good deal on the tickets; the next consecutive day was free.
Something I learned here on the DIS is to take a picture, or write down were you park, in case you forget later (great tip), so I did.

Mom was not feeling good. She has renal problems, and because of it she accumulates liquid in her feet (edema), making it very painful to walk. I decided to rent a wheelchair for her from now on. And I said this because if anyone in your party needs to rent a wheelchair, and hesitate about it, just know that is a very, very long walk from the parking lot to the entrance of either park (US or IoA); and that the rental fee is $6, but you have to leave a $54 deposit.
I had to go exchange our vouchers for real tickets before entering the park, and while I was doing this mom thought she was being attacked by a ferocious squirrel. It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Maybe the little guy is used to all the people around him and wanted some food, so he went towards mom and stood up in his little legs, and she went crazy. I still lol thinking about it.

First thing we did was the character breakfast at Confisco Grille. I was able to make Priority seating one month before the trip (I also made them for Mythos Restaurant). The food was good and the character interaction even better. It was wonderful. First was The Cat in the Hat (He grabbed my brother and demanded a picture; the Cat noticed my brother was acting silly too). After that was the duo Thing 1, and Thing 2. They stayed at our table for about 10 min. making us laugh. The last character was Spiderman. I loved the way face characters play their part. He was great too. And what surprised me the most was that my brother wanted to be photograph with him; something to do with Spiderman being his favorite super hero.

Then I realized something I never new about my hubby: He is SCARED to ride a rollercoaster. The first thing you notice to your left when you enter IoA is the Hulk Coaster. When he saw that he went pale, he said he would not ride anything like that. More than being Disney Virgin, he’s a theme park virgin. So to initiate him in the theme park world we chose the Spiderman Ride, and he loved it. And I thought that maybe, just maybe he would want to ride the scarier ones with me (those are my favorites). After Spiderman we went to Dr. Doom’s Fear Fall. Big Mistake, my hubby was so scared. The Hulk was next to that ride, so now it was out of the question.

Then we went to Toon Lagoon and found Woody Wood Pecker; another hilarious moment. When he went to sign mom’s autograph book he noticed it was a Disney autograph book, and then looked at the pen (which had Mickey ears). He said no, no, no with his head, and index finger, that he would not signed something Disney. Then he did, and pose for the mandatory pictures.

We continued to the Lost Continent were we rode Flying Unicorns, and Dwelling Dragons. Since hubby found Flying Unicorns scary too (and this one is considered a kiddies ride) my brother, and I lied to Ariel about Dwelling Dragons so he would ride with us; we said it was tamer than Flying Unicorns. Poor hubby (but at least he started to think that he was not going to die in one the rides).

It was now 12:30 pm, and we had priority seating for 1 p.m., so we headed to Mythos. We had some time left before being called to be seated so we went to Poseidon’s Fury to kill some time (is not a ride, but a cool show).

Mythos was packed. It was an hour wait for those with no PS. We all loved the place, the ambiance, and the food. I wish I had my journal notebook with me so I could tell you exactly what we ordered. My brother was sick, so he didn’t order anything. As appetizer we had sushi; Mom had steak with mashed potatoes (but fancier than what I wrote); Ariel had a burger with fries, and I had Risotto of the Day (DELICIOUS). Even the bathroom were really pretty (remember my thing with bathrooms).

We then took some more pictures before leaving the Lost Continent, and continued to Seuss Landing Great place if you have kids. For us it was a great place for photos. The only ride we did here is like a train ride called The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Ride.

It started to rain a bit. We bought our Ponchos (except for my brother, because he is too cool to wear one), and since we got a little wet from the rain we went to Dudley Do-Right’s Rip Saw Falls, were we waited 20 min. in line, so far the longest line we did (Is like Splash Mountain, but with a bigger drop, but not bigger than the one at Jurassic Park), After taking some photos at Toon Lagoon, we rode River Adventure one more time; I wanted to take some photos, and Ariel wanted to give it another try (He looks more happy now in this picture).

It was close to 4 p.m., and today I made a promise to my brother that we would be back at the Resort by 5 p.m. so he could finish some paperwork that he needed to fax; so we did some shopping before leaving the park. It was not a big deal because we still had one consecutive day free, and we used it to ride what we had left of the park: Hulk and Pteranodon Flyers (if you don’t ride this one as soon as the park opens prepare to be in line for at least an hour).

Universal Studios Day
We arrived to Island of Adventures at 9 a.m, and went straight to Pteranodon Flyers. After the ride we discovered CampJurassic by accident (we missed the exit, and got lost). Then Jerry and I went to Hulk. I thought Ariel would change his mind about riding it, but I guess Dwelling Dragons made a really bad impression.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Orlando%20Trip%2007/IMG_6744.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff22/fonsy0330/Orlando%20Trip%2007/IMG_6744.jpg

So he went with Mom to Toon Lagoon and took some pictures.

Then it started to rain, rain, and rain. All of us had our Ponchos, except for Jerry. He preferred drowning in the rain rather than wearing one. On our way to Universal Studios we had to stop for 30 min. because Jerry was nowhere to be found. I started to get anxious and went back to IoA. Guess what? There he was, inside a store, away from the rain. I took a Poncho, bought it, and told him to put it on and that I did not wanted to listen to any complaints coming out of his mouth, because he already took a lot of our touring time.
We were finally at Universal Studios Gates. It was still raining. It was 12 p.m. so we decided to get lunch; best way to wait for the rain to pass. Mom wanted to try the Meal Deal (Really Good Deal if you eat a lot, but is mostly the same food in all the restaurants). We had our Lunch at Monsters Café. Ariel and Jerry had Chicken with baked potatoes; I had Pizza, and Mom a Cesar’s Salad with chicken. By the time we finished eating it stopped raining.

First attraction we went was Shrek 4-D. We waited in line for 15 min. but I was really entertained by all the funny signs. The movie is pretty funny too, and loved the special effects.

We took some pictures of the street, and now it was Mummy Time! Yay! One of my favorites rides ever. I took a picture of an SUV that was in front of the Mummy attraction (I found it funny; by now you must think I’m easily entertained…I am). Maybe is a paid ad for VW?

To my surprise, Ariel loved it. While we waited for the photo we took pictures wearing some hats. My brother went crazy again, he was so mad at us for doing this that he went out of the store. My Mom felt really bad; she thought that maybe he was ashamed of us.

(We are in the last row)
There were 2 guys(one inside the store, and one in the street) (I’m calling them Egyptian Zombies) that scared the you now what out of me. While I was putting on one of the hats one of them stood behind me and I thought it was my hubby…I screamed so loud when I turned around to give hubby a little kiss.

After that it was time for our next meal. I don’t remember the name of the place, but it was something Italian. We all had spaghetti and meatballs.
After a little rest we went to Jaws. My bother said to Ariel that the shark was a trained animal. When he saw the huge shark he screamed like a girl. It took him a while to realize it was a Robot.

Then it was time for…. more rain.
We did not want to walk in the rain again, so instead we played some arcade games and won 2 plushies (sp?), yay!
Next we went to Men in Black. We all loved it. Mom was trying to hit every alien she could, at the end she beat us. After some shopping in the MIB store we headed to E.T. On the way there we took some pictures.

We had to wait 20 min. in line (the longest line we did this day).
After the ride we went to the E.T. store were I bought my own E.T. There were 2 photo opportunities: one in the bike and one with E.T. inside the closet. We bought the second option because we all could be in the picture. The fist option is only for one person, and the price is the same ($20+). Jerry did not want to be in this family picture either, which made Mom really upset, sad. If it weren’t for the ride photos, and the ones from the GF photo shoot, and a few other more, it seemed that he didn’t went to this trip.

It was time to leave. Not by choice, it was almost closing time. Today they were closing earlier, at 6 p.m., because of the Halloween Horror Nights.
The rain was really annoying. Thank God that there were no lines at most of the attractions so we had time to do everything we wanted.
More picture time on our way out. Ariel loves, I mean, LOVES NASCAR so pictures, pictures, and more pictures.

(I took this one at City Walk)
My brother Jerry was leaving in two Days so Mom wanted to take him to one of the Outlet stores so he could buy some souvenirs for his friends. We all bought all the souvenirs we needed for family and friends back home. Another thing I noticed is that if you want to buy something, but really want to save the money for something more important, take a photo. It worked for me.

The UGLY:
My brother was driving us back to the resort. On the way out of the store I wanted to take a picture of the Outlet store. Before having time to do this Jerry accelerated the car, stating that there was a car waiting behind us. I snapped at him. I told him that I only needed a fraction of a second to take the picture, and that he was really selfish, and that he hurt us all with his nasty comments (saying that he was not a tourist, that he doesn’t have the need to be in a picture, that we take a lot of time taking stupid photos and video, etc., etc.). Then he hit the breaks in the middle of 192, and threw Ariel’s MP3 player at my face. I had a nervous breakdown and started screaming. If that was not enough he proceeded to accelerate the car, and then hitting the breaks once more (he did this several times), putting our life and others in danger. Back in 1998 I had a car accident and to this day I still get upset about it. I was crying, he told me to shut up. I couldn’t control the crying, or yelling. Ariel and Mom tried to make him calm down, and to stop him from driving like a maniac, he didn’t. Finally we got to our room, but stayed in the car, only Jerry got out. Mom took the driver seat and took me to the Outlet store again, so I could take the picture (the picture you saw of the store with the wizard on top), and to calm me down.
We went back to the room, and Jerry started apologizing. And I forgave him. I can’t stay mad at my brother. Then he started saying some stupid comments like: “Because we’re family does not mean we have to get along”, “I don’t see things the way you do because I’m not a tourist”, “and I did not want to come here”, and so on.
We went to bed in good terms. Next day was Magic Kingdom Day, and Mom was really looking forward to this. And it was going to be Jerry’s last day with us.
But Mom, Ariel, and I agreed that Jerry would never be invited to another trip, unless he says he wants to come.
Sorry if this falls into the Too Much Information Category, but I needed to let it out.
Next part of the report: MagicKingdom
See you tomorrow!:goodvibes
