I have banked 220 points that have to be used by July 08. If any one is interested in buying them having them transferried they are £5 a point. (please note I have tried without success to book something for the remainder of this year without success, hence banking the points)

If you let me know :

The dates you want to go
The resort
The type of room

I will see If I can make the reservation.

Let me know if you are interested.

Laurence

Hi Laurence

Not sure if this is going to work out messy or not as I will be attempting to combine 3 types of bookings - using my own points, renting points and cash bookings.

I'm staying 1/5 - 13/5 which spans 2 weekends - is more cost effective to use cash bookings at weekends. I only have 166 points left so can afford 5 week nights in a 2 bed at SSR.

So I would need to rent points for 1/5/08 for 2 bed at SSR and then for 11/5/08 and 12/5/08 at a 2 bed SSR. So my booking would comprise the following:

1/5/08 - rent points
2/5/08 - pay cash
3/5/08 - pay cash
4/5/08 - use points
5/5/08 - use points
6/5/08 - use points
7/8/08 - use points
8/8/08 - use points
9/8/08 - pay cash
10/5/08 - pay cash
11/5/08 - rent points
12/5/08 - rent points

I work out that it would be 93 points that I would need to rent for the 3 week nights.

Is this going to get too complicated technically having 3 different bookings and will we have to keep changing rooms or will they be able to link the bookings together?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure if you stay at the same resort they will sort out the same room. I can see if the reservation is available if you want

I have the points - will check availibility today, although Wilderness Lodge is very popular is there any other resorts you want me to try if this is not available?

We're only interested in VWL - if that's not available then we'll head for POR.

Thank you but sorry, we can't run to a 1 bedroom.

Do you mind me asking, but would it make a difference what your home resort is? It's just I know studios are available on those dates if I wanted to book as an 'outsider' through Disney. And I thought DVC owners would have had priority. If I owned DVC then I think I'd be annoyed if I couldn't get the booking I wanted but a non-owner could make a reservation direct with Disney.

Just curious.

Sorry, me again!

Just a thought, but is there a studio available at VWL for any time during that week? We would consider staying elsewhere for, say, the first night or the last night?

Disney Central reservations do have rooms available at the DVC resorts. We booked the BWV last year for a few nights when there was no DVC availability. More expensive though.

DVC keep some reservations back for non DVC reservations - I've tried to book several times in the next few months with no succes. My home resort is OKW and I've always booked as soon as I can which is 11 months with no problem.

I'll see whats available at VWL, it's a shame there isn't some sort of search in DVC to see what is available - it's very hit and miss

Thank you for your help, it is appreciated, but please don't bother trying to check availability. Given that we're only able to be there for a week, I've realised that my idea of spending some nights one place and some at another isn't really practical. It would defeat the object of the 'chill out' week we're hoping for.

I'm sorry if I've caused you any inconvenience.

Thanks for the help!
