Okay, I may have missed this...have been off the boards for awhile. I've been thinking that there will probably be an offer come spring...free deluxe dining if you book a deluxe resort. Makes sense to me. Granted, I'm not holding out for that...did the bounceback w/ 10 days at POP for next year...but would upgrade if they offered free deluxe w/ a deluxe resort stay. Has anyone heard anything about this ? Any thoughts ?

No, but I think the deluxe was being offered for around 32 with the bounceback.

Can't personally see them offering anything like this, since they're not offering it for the bounceback. They're offering the deluxe at a discounted rate, but not free.
It would only happen if they are very desperate to have people book deluxe rooms at rack rates.

I've read where people say they're getting a discounted rate w/ the bounceback...doesn't seem discounted to me...basically Disney is taking off the basic plan price...big deal, they're giving it away anyway. I see Disney doing this...getting all of the cheapies like me to book rack rate at the deluxes...

But it is still available for a discount. When we booked our free dining back in June for Sept 2007, it was only for the free DDP. It at least is another option.

And then tick off everybody who booked the bounceback and actually paid extra to get the deluxe plan? I don't see it myself.

The business case just isn't there. The Deluxe plan offers so much value, that I couldn't imagine a scenario where people would be pay so much for the rest of their package that the value of the Deluxe plan could be attributed as a promotional expense for the rest of the package.

But, it doesn't matter you booked the bounceback and added the DX, if they are targeting DX hotel vacationers, people who will tend to spend more money anyway....otherwise they wouldn't have chosen a $200+ per night room...it may be something they'd do....we'll just have to wait and see.

I agree that there might be a business case made for offering free Deluxe Dining for folks booking GF or AKL suites, with short lead-times.
