Used my Cricut too. I hope no one will be too disappointed as I used regular cardstock instead of Bazzill. Since I am still figuring out how to use my bug, it's easier to use right now. I'm probably also doing things that you guys did with your bug ages ago, but is new to me.

Question about the color page kit.

I need to do two elements. If I so squares and slide mounts it says they should be embellished. Would it OK if I did not embelled them and did an extra element (2 mini file folders). I know that I would prefer them not to be embellished, since I don't know the page theme.

Will PM address. I bought the cutest new square paperclips and so I made the traditional 2 inch ones and a separate set of the squares for my paperclip group. And I bought for the Pirate group today, but haven't started.

I redesigned my office today and I am sitting in a perfectly new painted and clean space. It won't last for more than 2 days so I am going to completely relish the neatness and try not to move or make anything.

I have everything I need (Paper, Stickers and Fibers) for my zoo tags, and my Akershus Character Meal Kit. I am planning on cutting my zoo tags with my Cricut.

I bought some really neat little metal containers of Prima Flowers that were at Archivers. Will those be okay? :confused: Or should I get one of the regular bottles? I can post a photo if you would like to see.

Archivers had a little wooden crate with 6 bottles of Prima Flowers and one of the bottles had beautiful fall leaves. Darn it the whole thing cost $30.00. I wish I could just buy the leaves.

I have a few questions on the Tags --- do we decorate both sides of the tags? also if you have the border (I can't think of AWM called it) around the tag do we glue it down or leave it free.. Thanks a bunch!!! Michelle

For the Zoo tags, it is both sides. You will be making an album/book out of these by joining them with ribbon or ring or carbiner.
Make sure the hole is to the left for the front of the page and then to the right for the back of the page.

It is called the silhouette and yes I glued it down.

I found my pirates, seems they tried to sneak off to Tortuga. Blasted Pirates!!! The girls are done, so I just need to do the boys. And cut out the treasure chests. easy!

And I had a moment of clarity on my Xmas stuff so those are 1/2 done. The Cricut got a work out today!

Let's see, where am I?

I finished my General Vacation group yesterday, so that makes 5 groups done, and 4 to go.

I bought the pirate paper but don't really know what I am doing yet, have a general idea about what I am doing for the character meal groups. Still don't know what color I'm doing for the other color group, I guess it depends on what paper I have enough of.

DH is flying to DC tomorrow night for MLS Cup weekend, and won't be home until Monday. My goal is to get everything done except the "Fill In the Gaps" swap, while he is gone, and mail everything on Monday. We will see how well that goes. :rotfl:

Yes, we both pretty much never adjust to the time change. They eat dinner at 6:00 and then at 11:00, we are hungry again because 6:00 is pretty much lunch time and we eat dinner around 8:00 our time.

DH and I just watch TV or movies but I can't just sit and watch something without a project to work on. I do some knitting but I need my scrappy stuff!

They haven't told her that they are moving her into an assisted living facility yet. The doctor told her she has to have round the clock care for the next two months so she is staying with one of DH's aunts. They are going to just keep her there as part of doctor's orders until after Christmas and then gently spring that she will be going to the assisted living place using the doctor as back-up since he really doesn't want her to live by herself.

The good news is that they have found her a really nice assisted living condo community that backs onto a stream/canal type thing so she will still be able to sit on her back porch and watch the animals. The place she lives now backs onto a canal off of the Weeki Wachee River so she sees all kinds of birds and an occasional manatee and we didn't want her to have to lose that.

There will still be some fireworks going on when they break the news. DH and I are glad we won't be there although we fully expect a pretty peeved call once she realizes that we helped pack up the house. :guilty:

I do this if I am buying my supplies but I'm trying really, really hard to shop my stash for my current swaps. I way overbought on paper for a lot of swaps earlier this year so I have tons of extra. I pretty much did the entire AK swap (except for the Asia group) from my stash. Gotta love that!

Unfortunately, since I'm shopping my stash, it means that I have to be very creative in my embellies. I'm trying to be frugal since we've spent so much on airfare lately that DH blanches whenever I say I need to go to the scrap store. :sad1:

This is me too. With one LSS going out of business and 4/$1 paper at Recollections...I have a lot of paper at the moment. If I want to buy stuff when Recollections closes in Jan, I HAVE to use my stash.

But we did DS(8)'s thank you cards using my CTMH stamps and DH was really impressed with the results:thumbsup2 and even more with my cute CM bag (business enhancer :thumbsup2 ) Shame its nearly full now as I could get loads more stamps....;)

I made mine like you described. I made 5" tags with my George Cartridge on my cricut. I decorated the front and put a photo mat on the back of one and mini tags on the back of the other.

Then I made the Zebra tags they are decorated on the front and one has a photo mat on the back and the other has a fold out journal box on the back.:thumbsup2 Buffy has them now! I hope they are right. I thought they were for a Zoo Tag book held together with a ring. I guess you could use mine in a paper bag album too.

Well I ran into trouble. I used a shade of brown that I got out of a bulk Bazzill cardstock pack, and I thought I was all set because I had two packs. Well, the second pack didn't have that shade in it. :mad: I went to 3 stores trying to find the exact shade I needed, but no luck. So, since I don't really have time to remake all the items I did make, I have to go with a slightly different shade of brown for the tags and half of the journal boxes than the toppers had. It's the bottom-most layer of my items, so unless you put them directly next to each other, you shouldn't notice a huge difference. I'm not happy about it, but there's really not much I can do about it at this point. Sorry, ladies!

don't worry about it. I'm having the same problem with a red I was in the middle of using. I ran out but don't remember the brand so I'm going with a different red that I had.

That's ok sweetie, I think I'm going to be late too. All of the kids now have pink eye and sinus infections and I'm getting it too. I can't breathe very well which is making me really tired. I went to bed, well should say, I fell asleep in the chair at 9:30. I know ya'll know that is rare for me. DS11 had to wake me up to go to bed, he was up reading.
It's now 6:30 and I want to go to bed but I can not under any circumstances go to sleep before any of them do.

I'm going to try to do some stuff tonight, I think I will use both cricuts to cut, then I can get twice as much done in 1/2 the time.

I'm sorry Buffy - I've been pretty busy between what I need to do here in the house & trying to get these re-done...I just haven't been at the computer. I had used a small box for this swap - it ended up being too bulky to fit in the envelope.

I had DH rooting around in the car this afternoon too. (He wasn't thrilled since he was at work, but I begged him to do it despite the huge wind gusts we had all day.) I'm so excited!!! We had a trip planned are were actually supposed to leave on Friday but staying on site was just too much so we cancelled. But with DH's travel we were able to get free airfare and free hotel at DTD. So this is a bare bones no park hopper, no table service trip. We woke the kids up this morning and gave them a choice, big xmas or Santa and WDW. They picked WDW.
DH was watching the Travel Channel last night, the new WDW holiday show, and knew I really wanted to see the castle this year. He was even going to fly me down by myself, but I couldn't do that to the kids.

I have so much to do and could not sleep!!! As for planning, all of our trips have been last minute so I never plan!!! LOL

Well, I am willing to do both color groups and I'll stick with those colors. I'm sure I have stuff I can use and make upstairs. Probably shouldn't go shopping...but, I might have to sacrifice for the good of the swap you know... :lmao:

I can do all of the characters as long as everyone is willing to get 2 cricut paper piecings . So I can stick with pluto, but not the others. I also don't mind doing the duplicate for Group 2L -- DD would love to get a set!

I know everyone put a lot of work into this...whatever the group decides.

BTW, Buffy. I don't think I've ever said thank you for your Slide Mount 101 class. I had been totally intimidated by them until I printed your directions and followed them step by step and now they are my absolute favorite thing to make!

I heard from NEDisneyfans, she mailed her stuff out 2 weeks ago, I think it was around the same time that Piratesmate sent hers.

I'm really starting to get ticked at the Post Office. I'm gong to have to talk to her when I get back.

Anywho I offered her my spots since I angeled hers out.
I'm bringing my computer with me so I can check back in periodically. I will probably be back online 1 more time today, then off to bed early. We have to leave the house at 6am. :faint:

I've finished 2 angel spots -- for group 1L Pluto, group 3L Mrs. Potts & Chip. I hope to finish the rest tomorrow. I am stuck in the house all day waiting for the washer repair man. Keeping my fongers crossed that it is fixed before Christmas.

Ugghh! I wanted to be finished by now. I have everything cut for the remaining spots in group 2L -- I went with Mulan and Mushu. DH's train was 1.5 hours late last night. I didn't bring anything to do with me. I could have gotten so much done!
