Samantha Brown to expensive for DVC!

Just got the new DVC video package. It is awsome! It has some great special features and some hidden mickeys in the menus with tips when you click on them. It was also written for Samantha Brown. It is so her style! I had heard that DVC trioed to get her for the promotion video and that she was TOO MUCH MONEY to use in the promotion! The girl that they got is still very good, but there is just this Love/Hate thing with Samantha. Want her job...so badly! The presentation of the small book is a pop-up! Very good job DVC!:hippie:

Samantha Brown definitely would have done a great job. I think the girl who does it now is fine though.

Samantha is one of my favorites! She does a whole bunch of clips on tv when you sail on Princess, they run on the room tv during parts of the day.

Forgot to say, my only complaint about SB was that she said the 1 BR at VWL had a queen size bed. YIKES!!

Being from Australia, we only just started getting some of the Samantha Brown "Best Hotel" shows and we love her. Her style is just great. I haven't come across a more entertaining presenter.

I am not sure they are a local window company because I have seen her in window commercials here in RI....that is unless she's doing windows all over the country!

Champion Windows is a national brand...those commercials are everywhere. They are based out of Toledo.

Not sure if she's got anything new on TV right now. She was on the WDW Christmas Parade show last year.

Here in SoCal, Samantha Brown is on all the time...after she went to Europe, she went on her first cruise and then as Debby7 says, Passport to Latin America and to Asia next. I have not seen her in any other commercials other then her travel shows. Did she do a Disney cruise segment when she did "Disney"?

SB has my dream job. Where do they advertise for jobs like that anyway, I don't remember seeing any ads in the paper for a perky travel channel host. If I had I certainly would have applied - oh well, the job I have affords me the opportunity to go to the places she has on her shows.

I like Samantha, But I actually like Casey Better. I don't think this is a new DVC. It is the one that was released last spring. Same as the old one with an AKL tag on it.

I'd be surprised if that story were true. IMO, it would be a bit of an ethical breach for her to appear in publicity materials for a Disney entity. Other travel destinations--particularly theme parks--would have reason to question her objectivity knowing that she was taking money from Disney. That could hurt her both personally, and damage The Travel Channel, by limiting the number of organizations willing to do business with them.

Too expensive for DVC? There is a Windows and Sun Room company named Champion here in Indiana that uses her for all of their commercials. Wonder how much she charges or does it depend on the business? :confused3
