BCV Rehab Rumor

I saw on another forum that there is a rumor the Beach Club Villas will be going through an extensive rehab next year 2008.

The source mentions walking past a manager giving a new mousekeeper a walk through of the rooms who mentioned it.

Just thought I'd start a thread on it and wondered if anyone had heard anything else.

Haven't heard it but it would not be surprising. Resorts usually go through "extensive rehab" (usually meaning new paint, new rugs, sometimes new furniture, and repairs in rooms and hallways and other common areas where needed) every 5 to 7 years and it seems BCV would becoming due for that about next year. Rooms are usually redone on a rolling basis over a period of a year or so.

We were in a fifth floor room the last week of July and they were just completing the replacement of carpet and working their way down. We also had a new sofa bed in the Living Room.

Just stayed at BCV 10 days ago. Received a mail request to take a survey about our stay online.
We stayed at 3 different DVC's and this was the only one we had a request on.
I stressed how worn out and tired I felt the rooms and decor were.
Hope this signifies that the rumor might be true.

Only if Grandma has some serious cash! Sorry, I've been watching too much of Samantha Brown.

Although I haven't heard anything about a rehab, I, too, had a very "tired" looking studio several months back and ran into the head of maintenance, whom I spoke with (told him great resort but....).
