View Full Version : Are we missing a discount on our 4/3 land & sea?

A couple of days ago we booked for early April - 4 days at the Poly and then 3 at sea. We got four quotes from travel agents and tried putting together a "package" ourselves, and took the best rate, which from our local TA.

After reading these boards, I am paranoid that we've missed the boat (no pun intended) on bargains. This trip, to be quite honest, is going to run us $4500 for four (including 1 infant). It includes everything but daily spending money. However, now I'm wondering if we spent too much!

Although it's too late to change much, is there anything I can do now to find some bargains? Are there things I can ask of my TA?

Thanks for your help!!

The week's rate might be a vacation rate if it seems higher than other weeks because of spring breaks. I have not looked at pricing for that time period so not sure which weeks are their holiday rates. It does not sound all that high to me though since it sounds like it is a category 6, 5 or 4. If you have priced it seperately and with various agents and this is the lowest you found, it probably is. Did you inquire about Springtime Magic? That would lower the rates on a regularly priced trip, if available. Post your actual trip date and cabin category and I'm sure someone here will have information. Dates and categories make big differences in price.

We actually got an "early booking" discount, which Disney said saved us $2555 over regular prices. We are vacationing April 7 - 14.

You have to specifically ask for the Spring Time Magic discount. Two TAs that I went to, and Disney Cruse Line, did not quote me the price with the STM discount, I had to ask specifially. If you don't ask, they are not obligated to give it to you.

You should check into this. Good luck!

I couldn't find ANY deals on our trip two weeks ago. Your cost sounds about right. It's alot of money, and worth it!
have fun!
