I am coming up for 1 night-to see a concert at HOB at DD.
Anyone know what building in SSR is the closest walk to that side?

I stayed there in May and walked but it was on the marketplace side-which is too far from HOB.

Anyone know what building I should request??

Is it closer to one side of DD or the other?

It is a long walk from Marketplace to West side.

Actually, if your going to the Westside of DTD, then I think the part of SSR that is on the opposite end (Grandstand?) is closest. I was looking at the map and there looks to be a walkway from there to the Westside. Can anyone else confirm?

I think you want the Grandstand area. I could see a path going towards the West Side when we walked to the boat from our building which was adjacent to the Grandstand Pool.

The closest villas to the west side of DTD are in the Grandstand section...there is a walkway, but it's a golf cart path...it takes you over a bridge to the parking lot behind the CIrque du Soleil...I've used it multiple times in daylight, but never at night...I don't think it's lit...It's not very far...just as close between Grandstand and Cirque as between Congress Park and Marketplace...but only you can tell how comfortable you'd be walking on an unlit golf cart path at night...and if it's after a House of Blues concert, I'd guess that would be late at night.

Altho there is also a boat that goes between DTD and SSR and the SSR boat dock is quite close to the Grandstand villas...but I think it docks at the Marketplace rather than on West Side in DTD...

We just walked that path back to our room in Congress Park last night - it is definitely lit and not a bad walk. I think it was about 15 minutes to get from the Virgin Music Store to Congress Park building #2.

We just stayed in the Grandstand section in room 8812 and that is the closest building to the walkway to the west side of DTD and the HOB. We took the stairs down and the path was right there on the way to the boat dock.
