Stateroom account: applying cash to it upfront?

Of course, we'll be leaving a credit card number, but I'll have some cash saved that I would like to use first - before charges are made to the card.

In light of the other thread going about Disney Dollars, can you pay some cash toward your stateroom account upfront, so credit card charges don't begin until that amount is expended?
