Acc to the US/IOA website, the holidays are celebrated in Dec/Jan in the parks, in terms of decorations and parades. We'll be there from Nov 10-17, will the hotels be decorated at all for the holidays? Or even Thanksgiving? We're staying offsite, but would like to visit the Universal hotels, is there anything special recommended to see or do? I know the resorts at WDW are also dressed up for the holidays, does US do the same thing so early in the season? Any info would be much appreciated. TIA.

Thanks for the reply...I do hope that they start decorating early this year! I've heard so much on how cool Suess land looks for the holidays.

The parks are usually decorated around Thanksgiving weekend. I'm not sure about the onsite hotels though.

we were there 2005 Thanksgiving week. At HRH the lobby was decorated with lots of trees and this replica of the hotel in gingerbread.

this is the New York area, it was by far the most festive

but, there was no official Christmas presence, ie no tree lighting, parades, shows. Just decorations.

We are staying at PB for Thanksgiving weekend and were told they have a Christmas tree lighting in the harbor Friday - the day after Thanksgiving.
