Why are the boards so slow?

Is anyone else having the problem of the boards taking very long and giving you "page cannot be found errors" when you post new threads or replies?

me too. also not getting credit for posts and threads are not moving to the top of board after posting.

Big slowdown on the boards Fri. eve. 10 PM 2/15/02 EST.

Wrestling with a slow board is likely to result in double posts and the poster is not likely to wait out the time it takes to delete the duplicate post.

Our guest counts were higher than normal the past few days. In fact, we hit an all time high of 1000 guests a few days ago, a number that apparantly our server was not able to handle very well.
