I am curious if anyone has eaten at 1900 Park Fare since it recently reopened? How was the food? Characters?

We are eating here on our upcoming trip and I have not read anything about it. Thanks for your input!

We had breakfast there just afer it reopened. The characters were Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice and the mad hatter. The strawberry soup was lovely however the choices were limited for breakfast items. The kids enjoyed having ice cream and gummy bears.

We ate there last week for dinner. Cinderella and the Prince danced together when they came out: it was cute. The step sisters were fabulous, looking for husbands everywhere, and Lady Tremaine had just the right amount of disdain.

The food had changed, but they kept the strawberry soup and the carved meats. They no longer do the pasta station, but they have Italian, Spanish, Asian, and at least one other section- Lady Tremaine is in charge of the kitchen and has recruited chefs from around the world. The children's selection was pretty much the same as at other buffets.

I think long term the new stations might work out. However, the night we were there some of the food was overcooked and dried out, which could have been because we were among the first to eat, and the food had been prepared too early. They had a nice selection of desserts, but if I remember the salad selection was lacking compared to Crystal Palace or Boma's.

Hope this helps.

We have visited Disney many times and have gone to character meals. This was the best as far as the characters. The new additions are wonderful. My son, 27, was considered AVAILABLE and they teased him and had a lot of fun with him. The food was ok.

We had dinner there 09/24. The characater interaction was wonderful. Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the 2 step-sisters were there. The step-sisters were a hoot! However, we thought the food was lacking. None of us found much of anything to our liking. The only saving grace as far as the food went was the strawberry soup and the dessert bar.

Like everyone else said already - food lacking, character interactions with Cindy and Prince were okay, the best parts were with the stepmother and stepsisters.

We ate there for dinner last Saturday night (10/6).

When getting seated, make sure you don't get seated in the hallway on the opposite side of the entrance (with the door opening up to the rest of GF). When the characters are entering that location, forget about getting up and trying to hit the buffet lines. You're cramped in there.

Also, they no longer have the prince and Cindy come around to congratulate special event people (birthdays or anniversaries) personally. They do it as a group in the main dining room. So if you have a special event to celebrate, make sure you get a table in the main dining area or you'll miss the group event.

Unless we hear better reviews in the future, we will not be doing 1900 Park Fare again, especially if you expect special visits by the prince and Cindy.

In 2006, when we ate there, the prince came over for DD3's and sang happy birthday. Like I said, they don't do that any more. Too bad.
