Visitors while staying at DVC

This may sound silly but I know the resorts are gated security. My DILS are coming to see us, do they just give our name and room #? I'm not sure how thhis works. Thanks

We had friends visit us at VWL in March and they just told the guy at the gate that they were visiting friends. They had our room # just in case but she said they never asked for it.

They're coming again in Dec. to meet us at BWV and will probably do the same!

We had friends visit at OKW last month and they were just asked for a picture ID

The AKV guard gave our friends a parking pass when they visited us. We didn't have a room yet, they just gave our name.

You'll need to provide them your name and room number. The guards won't provide that information to anyone.

Thanks you guys. I didn't think it would be a big deal but my DMIL worries. I have her one and only grandchild:rolleyes1 so she was worried she might have to take the guard to get to him:rotfl2:

When we were expecting our parents to visit, we visited the gate house and notified Security that we would be having guests. They noted our name, room # and the parents name and type of vehicle they would be driving. No problems, they were let right in.
