My trip report begins with the day we returned home from our trip last year. We didn't spend nearly as much money as I had thought we would, and I told DH that we had enough to book another trip, so he said go on and book it. I couldn't believe it! I called AAA the next morning and booked a 7 night trip at the CR with a MK view. I was so excited, this was my dream resort. So this is to be my pre-trip of how it started in Dec. 2006 and how I got to the CBR for 9 nights.

Cast of Characters:
Me / Mary: a 44 yr. old substitute teacher :teacher: who has been in love with everything Disney as long I can remember. I can remember singing Supercalifragilisticexpelaidocious (sp?) as a 4 yr. old on my old record player at the top of my lungs and my mom telling me to quiet down or I'll wake my napping sister.

DH / Glenn: a 53 yr. old Health Physics Technician and Respiratory Specialist :surfweb: at a Nuclear Power Station, who also has a love of Disney, but he didn't get the magic in him until he met me and we went to Disney together when we were dating. But we have turned him into a pin trading big kid.

DD / Taylor: my wonderful 10 yr. old Princess princess: . I waited all my life to have her, when I was pregnant with Taylor, DH and I decorated her room in Disney Babies. I wanted her born into the world of Disney Magic. And I wanted her to feel it as soon as she could. She feels it all right, her face was awesome the first time she saw the castle last year. She is inlove with all things Disney too and she is so looking forward to this trip this year, she can hardly stand it.

DD / Emily: my exuberant 8 yr. who is actually my sunshine :sunny: , and a day without my little sunny girl is a bad day. She loves Disney and loves trading pins like crazy, she is more a pirate than a princess, but never the less, she is impatiently waiting for our trip.

I hope this turns out ok, as this is the first one I've attempted. But we now have a trip that is set for 9 nights at CBR with DDP and 9 day tickets. We had changes and more changes on this trip.

What a great DH you have there...you will have a blast at Christmas time...we are going for our 4th year in a row end of November.

My DH just comes along...I tell him when we are going and he comes...so nice and easy...as long as he gets to eat at BOMA....so that is easy enough for us to please him.

You girls are adorable.

Thank you very much! My girls are the light of my life and I don't think I could bear life without them, now that I have had them and really like being with them.

Sorry, your DH only comes along, I am very lucky that my DH loves Disney.

Ok, lets see what I can do about that!

I'll try to add some.

What I should have said he does none of the planning or deciding where to eat but once we get there he is BIG kid...we did the Family Magic Tour one year and he was great on it with our DD...he was loving it.

When I left off, I had booked my trip to CR for 6 nights. Then about 2 months into it, we decided to add an additional night to our ressie at CR, only there were none left in MK view that we could attach to our current ressie so, we could make a separate ressie for the Bay View, and we went ahead and took it. Two weeks later, a MK view openned up and our TA went on and changed it for us, but it still could not be attached to the original ressie, since it didn't have the AAA discount with it. I know this is very confusing but it sort of made sense. I think this was around Feb.

So, once we are settled on our trip we finally begin the process of deciding where we want to eat and get working on those ADR plans. So, we finally pick a list of restaurants that we each want to eat at.

DH's List:
50's Prime Time
1900 Park Faire
LTT
Mama Melrose's

My List:
Chef Michey's
Sci Fi
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace

So, as you can see we have a good list going, but as we work on this the list will get shortened and changed and we eventually get a great list of ADR's for our final trip and that has only added to the excitement of the trip.

Then in April, we hit a road block!!!! We find out that CR is having all kinds of construction going on inside the resort (as well as the obvious construction on the outside for the rumored DVC). DH is not really thrilled about loud construction while on vacation, it kind of kills the idea of sleeping late. So, I call AAA TA one morning to find out that for only $500 more we could get a MK View at the GF with a AAA discount. So, I book it. Now, to come up with $500 extra. I'm a substitute teacher and I can make that in no time, but this trip is really starting to add up. Oh well, its only money!!!

Up Next: The ADR's are made and the BBB and CP packages are booked. :santa:

Oh, maybe we should try that with the DDs. We usually only do parks, but the tour sounds wonderful!!!

The Family Magic Tour is scavenger hunt for 2 1/2 hours through MK...it is lots of fun...at the end you get to meet a character and he or she or it goes on a ride with you,...we did Mickey's Philharmagic...we had a blast...there was about 20 to 25 people total and we looked like fools and got some stares for the things we did but well worth it...Here are some pics of the tour...I recommend it.

Aviva has the bows in her hair and my DH is in black.

So, last visit, we decided on some of the ADRs we might like to have. And we can get onto the real meat of the trip; let’s figure out what we absolutely have to do again, that we did the last trip!!

MVMCP
Candlelight Processional w/ Le Cellier
Breakfast at CRT
BBB
Osborne Lights
Rice Cream from Kringla Bakery
Mickey Bars
Frozen Coke
Hollywood Tower of Terror
Festival of the Lion King

Ok, now lets see the WDW Calendars don't come out until June and it was only Feb. and Mar. at this poiint, so I'll just last years schedule and improvise as needed to make my schedule.

Well, I'm going to have to stop and take a break now, I'll come back later, I have to get kiddos to bed. Its a school night you know.
