Hi everyone! My DH was wondering where is the best place to workout, we notice the Fort doesn't have a fitness center. Thanks!

Here's a link to WDW Fitness Centers (http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/fitness-centers.htm)! :goodvibes

I bicycled over to WL, worked out and then bicycled back.

Wilderness Lodge...small, well equipped and clean....
We also bike there, do our thing for about 45 minutes and stop off at the
Lodge for coffee, paper and power pedal back to the campground....
Steve was in charge the last few years we visited and was so good, helpful and full of adivce...Is he still there....?

Workout? Fort Wilderness has tennis, shuffleboard, bike trails, horseback riding, walking trails, horseshoes, canoes, paddleboats, pools, teather ball, dodgeball, football etc..

Who needs a gym?

My husbands work out is arm curls (beer to mouth arm curls!)

Is there a charge to use the gym at Wilderness Lodge. We are staying at Fort Wilderness? :confused3

Believe it or not, I am pretty sure it is one of the few things you can actually do at WL if you are staying at FW legally. Can't use the pool, but you can work out.

I like to do the 16 oz. curls back at the camper.

As an anechdote, when I was in college I called the gym on a Friday night to find out what their hours were. I was told "It's Friday night, man, you're supposed to go out, not work out."

DH will be bringing plenty of 12oz Yuengling for arm curls! :thumbsup2

His goal is to get his chest as big as his belly so he doesn't have to do sit ups! :rotfl2:

We really enjoyed the bike ride over to WL. Of course you could jog, but I'd rather ride ;) Oh and the best arm curls are enjoyed at the Fort!

I agree walking what 4 to 6 miles a day is enough for this closely approaching SSA age ole body. :yay:

Drink it first. It's easier to carry that way.
