I am making a list of everything I need to take in my park bag. Note that there are no small children in our party, and that I am basically taking just my stuff.

Water bottle
Sweatshirt (we are going in mid-November)
Camera
Passporter
Wallet

Am I missing anything? Also, what kind of bags do you all use? (dead horse, I know)

About the only other thing you might need is a disposable poncho. But in November rain is seldom a problem.

I also carry around a Chap Stick, a bottle of Purell (one of the travel sized ones), some tissues, a pen, extra memory card, extra battery, cell phone, and travel toothpicks. I'm sure I'm leaving some stuff out, but those are my traveling basics no matter where I'm going.

I also bring the small packets of crystal light to add to my water.

I use a fanny-pack to hold all my stuff. I am not one who has to look fashionable when I am at Disney, so a fanny-pack is what I use. It is pretty full of stuff--passes, money, creditcards, room key, kleenex, purell, lip balm, inhalor. I only take what I have to have, but it seems like a lot.

I like to use the drawstring-type backpacks, as they hold lots but are extremely easy to tote around. I also don't have to worry about open bags on rides where things may go flying out or get wet! Mine is a pink Nike bag I bought at a Modell's for not very much. In my bag, I usually carry:

-cell phone (all information I may need is on here, such as lists of rides, dining info, etc; it's a Sidekick which can be likened to a BlackBerry)
-PDA sometimes
-digital camera in its case
-wallet
-pen
-park map/times guide

-a small makeup case with a bit of makeup and the following:

tissues
hair ties
lip balm
bandages (I am a complete klutz!)
antibacterial hand soap in a travel-sized bottle
eye drops
pill case with medicines
travel-sized tube of sunblock

I hope that helps!

Just back and noted two things I wished I had carried with me--Advil (got headaches in the afternoon for some reason) and bandaids for blisters.

That's what I was going to add - Ibuprofen. My hips and back hurt so much after walking all day that I couldn't get back to the car without it.

DH will have wallet w/ passes, cc & $; cell phone & camera in ziplocs, and sunscreen wipes in ziplocs...THAT'S IT!!! And this with 3 kids 7-12.

DH will wear cargos to carry it all. I may try to get DS12 to wear cargos on days we go to MK/AK for ponchos, or if there is a chance of rain.

We are staying onsite, so can run back if there is a true emergency (or buy it...yes, inflated prices, paying to NOT have to haul things "just in case")

Ice water is free at all CS locations.
I will check the weather to determine clothing needs.

I may determine that throwing chapstick, bandaid or meds into my pocket might be nice. I'll play it by ear.

Moleskin is great for this. Most pharmacies carry it in the foot care section. Put it on as soon as you feel a hot spot and it pads against the blister ever forming.

I was told handi wipes or any hand cleaner stuff. Sometimes things get dirty.

I read on this site about Bagallinis last year and have to say they're perfect for Disney. Check them out at Ebags.com. I have an across the chest kind and it has a spot for my water bottle, cell phone, credit cards, cash, etc. It leaves my hands free, stays snug on rides and keeps everything zipped in safely. I have stuffed a full sweatshirt in with all my other things and it all fits. Since then, I've even found it useful on other trips and for work. Check it out. :)

I wear my prescription sunglasses, but I also carry along my regular glasses in a case, so I can wear them to the indoor shows...:thumbsup2

Also, you will want to make sure the rest of your party is as prepared as you are. For example, when we went last February, we forgot to bring our ponchos and low and behold, it rained. I ended up spending mucho bucks for Disney ponchos and umbrellas. Also, it was darn chilly when we were there for a P&P party on a different night. I had worn a nice fleece sweatshirt, but when DS2 fell asleep in his stroller, I had to give that up to cover him up. Needless to say, I lasted about 30 minutes tops before I went and bought a nice $60 jacket. I was going to just go with a hooded sweathshirt, but for only $10 more, I went with the lined jacket with hood....:teacher:

Don't forget the MOST imortaint thing to bring with you.

A comfortable well broke-in pair of walking shoes for each member of the family.

Don't buy new shoes before a trip or you might suffer from the large amounts of walking that you may be doing.

One of the best products that I have found at any pharmacy is a product called Moleskin by Dr Sholles (sp?). It is sold at any CVC, or Wallgreens Pharmacy

It is an adhesive Felt fabric that can be cut to size and placed (adheired) over the top of any pre-blister area. This stuff works like a second skin and shields your sore spots from wear of shoes. It saved the trip and made it possible for me to walk long distances that we did.

Your feet will love you if you take care of them.

If you're ever not feeling well or get blisters, you can also go to the first aid station. They can provide you with band aids, aspirin, antacids etc.

well, i pack for myself AND my husband (so nice, i know) this is what i take:

purell
camera
first aid kit (headache medicine, bandaids, bonine, antacids, etc)
2 folded ponchos
2 bottles of water
park tickets
cash, credit cards (2), license, health insurance card, car insurance card
room keys
reservation numbers
gum
cell phone
chapstick
sunglasses

we each carry a jacket with us too

i like to bring a fabric backpack that i made with a drawstring to close it at the top. my husband likes the fanny pack to keep his wallet and cellphone. i keep the rest in my backpack

i probably over pack... but better safe than sorry!! :thumbsup2

Poncho
Water bottle
Sunglasses

And one thing I wish I had used earlier in my trip: Kleenex "Splash and Go" wipes. I had packed a small, purse-size pack of them for the trip, but didn't end up using them until right before the end of the trip. Wish I had used them earlier -- it was very hot and humid, and felt so refreshing to wipe down my face, arms, and neck with one of these. They're larger than a "Wet Ones" wipe and really worked like a charm. Didn't leave my skin sticky at all.

i have a travelon messenger bag. it fits across your body. therefore allowing you free hands. also, you do not have to remove your bag suchas you have to do with backpacks. it holds my waterbottle, lip balm, checkbook, credit cards, keys, camera, batteries, tide pen, kleenex tissues, bandaids. it measures abot 9x8 inches. it expands 2 inches allowing for a rain poncho. it is known as my wdw bag. i think that hans free is the best benefit. oh! unzips on outside foe easy access to wdw park tickets.:woohoo:

I like to take a small flashlight. I forgot for my trip last weekend and I really missed it at night. It is great to use when it gets dark and you want to look at a map, your camera settings, etc.

If you ask, the counter service places will give you a free cup of ice water. However, I believe that it is tap water. So if you don't like the taste of Orlando water, you may not want to do this.

I always take pre-cut moleskins (or small scissors to cut it). However, I wore Crocs this time and didn't need mole skin at all. :cool1:

Body Glide to avoid blisters. We bought a small one (travel size) at REI. It works great.
