Disney World for New Years

Good Morning everyone! So I will be traveling to WDW for New Years. This is the first time I will be there for New Years! I was just wondering where do other fellow Disney fans like to go for New Years? Im staying at the Polynesian so I am close to everything.

We always go to Epcot, since it is one of the bigger parks, it a little easier to move around. You still will have to wait in very, very long lines. We don't do rides on New Years, so it wasn't an issue for us. Last year we went to Shula's for dinner, then over to the Boardwalk they had a DJ outside and then about 9pm we went to Epcot and visited the DJ stands there. We had a blast and the fireworks were ground shaking, {literally. the ground was shaking} They are amazing and should not be missed.

I am going for the first time on NYE this year too. I will be staying at the Contemporary. I am really hoping for a MK view. I think it will be crowded but we have always wanted to do this on New Years. I can't think of a better way to wring in the New Year, at my favorite place.:thumbsup2

Disney is the Best place to be on New Years. If it was just up to me we would spend every New Years in Disney World. As long as you go with the mind set that it is going to very busy and you won't get a lot of rides done, then you will enjoy yourself and the crowds won't bother you.
