Hi all, am planning a trip to Orlando to coincide with Superbowl 2009 which is being held at the Tampa Bay Bucanneers stadium. Had a look at the prices in January for next year as prices for 2009 aren't available yet, do you reckon that the Superbowl will increase the prices significantly by comparison?

Am planning on staying on i-drive and will be driving, also have only been during September on my 3 previous visits to Orlando, am I still gonna get a tan during January??!!! :confused3

It should not affect direct prices, but can affect some internal flights, but that will depend on who is in the Superbowl.

Most tickets will go to season tix holders and local season tix holders. It like trying to get gold hens teeth for a tix at the new Tampa stadium as it is.

Yes its quite warm and sunny, you don't need the sun to be out to get a tan in Florida! :rotfl:

Yeah, have a friend whose business contacts have suggested that we may be able to bag a couple of tickets, but to be honest, even if it doesn't come off it would be great to watch a Superbowl in the States.

Am pleasantly surprised by the prices for January, especially as the sales are on! :thumbsup2

Nice to see so many Brits watching American football!

Keep in mind that Tampa Bay Buc's tickets can be tough to get because they sell out their games. Jacksonville Jaguars tickets are more easily available and they play a lot of good teams every year at home. Jacksonville is just a 2-hr drive from Orlando so it's an additional option for viewing NFL Football.

Hi Bob, there's a big following for the NFL in this country, especially where I'm from in Leeds, the Hard Rock Cafe and the Sports Cafe open through the night for the Superbowl, not that I attend as we have our own Superbowl parties every year!

Cheers for the advice regarding the Jaguars, if I could time a holiday with a Jags v Bucs game that would be great! :thumbsup2

We now get six NFL games per week live Bob.
Plus we are getting an actual NFL game this month between Miami and New york played in London.

Still, the final is already decided.
Patriots are gonna lose in the Superbowl to America's (and mine) team the Cowboys!!!
