View Full Version : DQ Solo?

I've done parks, restaurants, hotel, etc solo many times and love being able to do and ride and eat whenever and whatever I want without having to consult with anyone. I am taking a solo trip next month and considering doing Disney Quest. It seems that many of the attractions there are meant for groups or at least pairs of people. Will I be able to do everything solo? I don't mind being paired up with strangers, but will I be put onto things with others automatically or will I have to do the work to find people to ride/experience things with me? Anyone have experience with this?

Nobody?
I'm sorry if this has been asked here before, I'm a pretty new poster. Maybe nobody has tried it...

Never tried it solo, but I know on Pirates once, my "pair" was paired with another "pair". I imagine Aladdin would be fine as a solo. Buzz Lightyear would be tougher--it's a pretty confined space to share with someone you just met! My mind is blanking on the other "virtual reality" games.
That said, a lot of DQ is "solo-friendly," if you don't mind being overrun with kids. You can play arcade games, obviously. You could also take the drawing class or design a roller coaster on your own. Honestly, tho, I find DQ overrated, and am usually bored within an hour. If I was a 25-year-old single with an evening to kill, I'd head over to the Adventurer's Club instead. Much more fun, much more "Disney."

I went to DQ solo a few days ago and didn't have a problem. On Buzz Lightyear, I was solo in my bumper car and was not the only one. This attraction was somewhat difficult because I had to drive and load my gun. On Pirates, I joined a family of four and we had a lot of fun. Everything else was no problem.

Thanks to both of you! My DQ time is in the morning, when it ought not to be quite so over-crowded and PI isn't quite open yet. I've never done it, and I know my family wouldn't be interested, so its worth a shot just to say I've done it. Thanks for the info on what to watch out for!
