ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! lol
I actually made some for last year, but got busy and ended up buying some from the $$$ store...
I may buy the ones @ the $$$ store again....because they had Disney cards and I was thinking of using one of our family pics at Disney for the card this year...

I ended up buying some at Target. They looked homemade so I was happy. Then I bought a bunch more when they went on clearance.
We did photo cards one year from Disney, bought them off the photopass site. They were really cute!

We always write a Christmas letter - and the years we cruise, we buy the cruise photo cards. Last year, I took stamps, preprinted address labels, and a stack of copies of the letter and they were all ready to mail when we got off the ship!
This year? I don't know. . . my husband would like to make some but we need nearly a hundred. That seems like a daunting task.

We need around that too! I buy them for the kids - whatever is on 3 for 2 in the shops ;) and make for close family only - if I feel like it

I'm thinking about making a couple of Christmas cards this year for the people who would appreciate the fact that it's a handmade card. I like the Christmas paper dolls on the Paper Dolls cartridge. For everyone else, I am going to do a photo card of either the girls with Minnie Mouse at LTT or a family shot of us in the raft on Teamboat Springs.

ok, here's a question about the pics in Christmas cards....do you use the best pic of your family/kids from the year or do you specifically have one taken right before it's card time? Like, if you went to Disney in the summer, would you use a pic of that?

I usually use a picture I took on purpose. Last year I took pictures of the kids holding the letters HO and put 3 of them together to make it look like Ho Ho Ho. This year though, I might use the one of us with Jedi Mickey. Haven't had a moment to think about it. I'd better get on the ball, though...:rolleyes1

it depends. The one we used for WDW was actually taken at WDW in October. The boys were dressed as chimney sweeps so I put as the message, Have a Jolly Holiday and a Supercalafragilistic New Year, from Me, DH, DS11, DS6, DS5 and out little sister too. We found out DD was a girl between trips so this was how we told extended family.
Anywho, my Aunt uses a great pic of the whole family any time of year. One year it was when my cousin graduated from HS, the following year it had their talents and interests in it. My cousin was sitting in a chair with her tap shoes (she teaches dance), her brother had his wresting metals on, my Aunt and Uncle were in a ballroom stance, they were learning to dance that year. It was really cute.
Sometimes I use the kids pics from Winter, like with Santa or ones from Sears, but we rarely have a family portrait done. The last one we had done was when DS5 was just born.

Last year I used a picture of the girls with Chef Mickey, even though it was taken in August. This year's potential card photos were also taken in August. I just like to choose a nice picture, regardless of when it was taken.

I think that would be a super cute picture! You could get it printed in sepia tones... I'd love to see it when it was done.
