I'm getting close to joining DVC. My intention is to go every other year, can any one give me what they've found to be the most cost effective way to get tickets?

If you mean tickets to the parks...........either through Disney or mousesavers. There really isn't a different avenue for DVC park tickets and no cost savings unless you get the AP.

We use the DVC discounted APs, and schedule it so we get at least two trips out of them.

:) I agree with ChuckS. We usually buy the APs through Member Services and schedule our trips within that window. Have fun!

Unless we are doing an AP - which we seldom do because we are generally biannualers - we buy our tickets through Mousesavers.

My DW and I are renting DVC points next year and wanted ot know how this works with your key to the world. WHen we disneymooned in October of 95 at the CR, it was MOST convenient to only have to carry a Drivers License and our Key to the World. Would we have to carry our Key to the World AND our admission tickets? Can the front desk at your DVC resort combine them?

HELP?

Your key card becomes just that, plus a charge card. APs are paper (?) tickets in a paper sleeve holder. You'd have to carry both. :thumbsup2

You can have your hoppers put on your room key if you wish.
