Posting tonight for all you early birds out there


IF you have already joined these swaps once, please allow those who missed them to sign up first.

Due date is December 3, 2007. That is when I need to receive your package. Mail by date is November 26, 2007, to make sure your package arrives to me. I will sort them the week of December 3rd, and send them back out by December 10. That is a FIRM deadline because of the holidays.

NOTE: I will ask you to check in every 2 weeks (by posting a check-in by date in the thread title). If I haven't heard from you by November 19, I will send a pm to you. If the pm is not answered within 2 days, I will have to angel your spot.

1. Packing Instructions - use a Ziploc for each person and put everything for that person into their bag. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made each kit. You‘ll have 6 bags to enclose in the larger (gallon size) Ziploc bag. - be sure to include your name, your DIS name. On the larger Ziploc bag please put your mailing address on your bag and include return postage.

2. Mailing Instructions- Mail in Priority Mailer & include postage (stamps or cash) to return your items. Delivery Confirmation is $0.65.
Please don’t send metered or click-it/ship-it postage – some hostesses have had issues with these. On the outside of your box/envelope please include your DIS name and Swap name in the bottom corner!

3. PM me with your name and address if you haven’t swapped with me before. If you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.

4. Most importantly HAVE FUN!! I know we all get worried about our stuff sometimes. I know everything will be GREAT! Just make something you would be proud to have in your own albums, and everyone will love it!!



PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do not sign up for more than you can handle. This is a huge swap and a lot of time and effort on my part. If you sign up for every group and need to drop out, that is 18 spots I would need to angel. If your packages are not in my hot little hands before Dec 10. I will not wait, I can’t!



Ok - here are the elements to choose from (if you have another idea for an element, let me know and I will add it). If you have questions about any of these elements, you can look at the swap glossary link at the top of the swaps board, the swap photo gallery link at the top of the swaps board, or pm me! I'll be happy to help!!

Please, no hand lettering on any items. You may use computer fonts, rub-ons, stamps, die cut letters, etc. Embellished means using brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, 3D stickers (matted stickers are ok, too), clip art, or embossing. All elements should be double-matted and embellished unless otherwise noted!!

1 Topper – 8 inch long by 2 inch wide
2 Borders (a pair) – 11 inches long (or 12 inches long that can be cut to 11)
2 Journaling Boxes--minimum 3" x 4" space for writing
4 embellished squares--largest mat should be no larger than 2"
2 Photo Frames--for a 4 x 6 photo & the Sizzix dies are ok (you need to crop a bit from the photo to use these.) Two layers on the frame would make the photo seem double matted.
2 Photo Mats--for a 4 x 6 photo without cropping. Again, two layers as the photo sits on top of these.
2 Tags--no smaller than 2 x 3 and larger is fine; double matted PLUS fiber/ribbon and/or eyelet/brad in the hole.
2 Slide Mounts--cardstock or actual slide mounts; must be embellished but not double matted, and the Sizzix dies are fine
1 Journaling Box n Tag--one journal box with matching tag (see details above)
1 Mini File folder--embellished but need not be double-matted
1 Library Pocket and Tag--embellished but need not be double-matted
1 Shaker Box
1 Paper Piecing
1 Matted Poem or song Lyric--text area must be no smaller than 2 1/2 by 3 1/2

include color of flowers and kind if it's something other than the regular 5 petal flower in the got flowers bottle. Please buy different colors for each group. Buy one bottle or container for each group of 10 and divide it out evenly. All containers usually contain at least 101 flowers, so with groups of 10 each person should get at least 10. Maybe more with the smaller flowers.

A few answers for you:
1. Any character is fine as long as no one else in your group has picked them.

2. penguins are great! I have an Aquarium near me so we have plenty of penguin pics.

3. round tags are great too!

a few rules and basic requirements. We try not to be too picky about peoples items, it stifles the creativity, but we do have some basic rules of quality like using scrapbook safe adhesive and papers. etc...

Thanks! It was the best trip yet!! DS2 was soooo cute with the characters, loved the parades & shows, enjoyed most of the rides, and spent a lot of time looking around and talking to people. Of course the older 2 enjoyed it as well. MNSSHP is not to be missed. It was the best part of the trip. No crowds (except for the HSM2 show), no lines, VERY hot. We booked the bounceback offer for about the same time next year...a little earlier so that the little guy is still 2 when we leave and therefore still free!

I have over 300 photopass photos; they were everywhere and really did a great job. I also have 2000+ of my own photos. I have a lot of work to do in going through all of it.

Did I mention we met Jack Sparrow? I definitely need pirate stuff!

We do annuals and then alternate each year - november one year (and MVMCP) then use the same annual pass for Oct the next and do MNSSHP.

I love MNSSHP!!! The boys dressed up as chimney sweeps one year and got loads of attention.

So sorry to keep you and happycampers waiting-couldn't make a decision and haven't been on disboards much since then except to post for my recipe swap really. I bought some paper for fall slide mounts yesterday, but if happycampers went ahead and started fall as hers, I can still do winter. I'll plan on fall unless I hear different here.

I got my treasure map photo mats for the pirate group cut today. I need to ink them and put them together. I'm going to leave them mostly unembellished so everyone can use them for mats, journal boxes, etc....

OK Pirate group- another question. I was inspired after being on Pirates this week to include some booty - ala gold/jewels. So I bought 8 packages of various big and little jewel brads and these really big and small flat metallic round brads. Would you guys like me to just divide all the packages in our group or would you like me to use them as embellishments? I like to sometimes put them on after photos. I will post a pic of the booty on my blog www.moremadthngenius.blogspot.com

the pirate group is completely done. I really like it. I did a title saying Freeboot.

I have done borders for the vacation group - they are kind of plained but you know me, they are sewn.

Can't wait to get this one back.
